Chapter 2 - ren

Chaos had erupted at the Lorraine duchy. One of the servants had confessed to the duke that it was the countess who had planned everything so that Ren would end up in the young duke's bed. The duke was furious, so he decided to throw the countess into the dungeon.

The duke had summoned everyone and gathered them in his office. Ren was sitting on the floor beside the countess. The duke was seated behind his desk, while the young duke stood behind him. The butler, several soldiers, and the servants who had been present on the night of the crime were also in the room. Then, the judgment began.

Duke: "Countess, do you know why you are here?"

The countess, panicked, dropped to her knees and began to beg.

Countess: "I don't know what happened. I think I was bewitched, because I would never have done such a thing!"

The duke looked at her with disgust and replied:

Duke: "Oh? So you admit that you committed this crime."

Countess: "Please forgive me, my duke."

*For now, I must try to divert the situation*

The duke slammed his fist on the table and shouted:

Duke: "This is unforgivable! Take her away and lock her up until further notice!"

Countess: "No! My duke, don't do this, I beg you! My reputation!"

Duke: "Even after everything that happened, you only think about your reputation. You disgust me. Take her away!"

The countess, stunned, let herself be taken away by the guards, leaving Ren alone. The duke then looked at Ren and said:

Duke: "My dear, stand up. Don't worry, you will not be punished for your mother's actions."

Ren was trembling. He didn't even dare to lift his eyes after what had happened. He stood up and replied:

Ren: "Th-thank you, my lord duke."

*What am I going to do now…*

Xavier: "Tch! You have no shame."

Ren: "E-excuse me?"

(Still keeping his head down.)

The young duke Xavier did not seem satisfied with the judgment given to Ren.

Xavier: "Father, leave him to me. I will personally take care of him."

Duke: "But Xavier, you know very well that Ren did nothing wrong."

Xavier: "Father, you have already dealt with what concerns you. Now leave Ren to me."

The duke had no choice but to agree.

Duke: "Very well… as you wish." sigh

After that, Xavier grabbed Ren by the arm and dragged him away. But before leaving, he warned his father:

Xavier: "Oh, and no matter what I do to Ren, don't interfere."

With those words, he closed the door and left with Ren.

Ren: *What is he going to do to me…*

(Ren thought, tears in his eyes.)

Xavier: "I suggest you spare me your crocodile tears. I haven't done anything to you yet."

Ren: "Xavier, I'm sorry. Please don't hurt me… sniff…"

Xavier: "A slut like you deserves nothing but the worst."

Hearing those words, Ren's world collapsed. He wiped away his tears and accepted his fate.

Xavier took Ren to the doctor for a pregnancy examination. A few days later, the results showed that Ren was carrying Xavier's child. Xavier went straight to see Ren, who was resting in one of the rooms of Xavier's villa.

Xavier: "Look at this. Are you happy now?"

Ren, shocked, covered his mouth with one hand, then gently touched his stomach with unimaginable tenderness.

Ren: "A child… Xavier, I'm so happy. We're

going to have a child."

Xavier: "How dare you say my name with that filthy mouth of yours?"

Ren: *Does he hate me that much…?*

Suddenly, Ren stood up in front of Xavier, grabbed his hand, and said:

Ren: "Xavier, let's get married. I-I love you. I've loved you for a long time, and now that I'm pregnant, we can be happy."

It was true. From the very first day they met, Ren had fallen in love with Xavier, but he had never dared to desire him.

However, even though Ren was happy, Xavier was not. He pulled his hand away, pushed Ren to the ground, then leaned down toward him and said:

Xavier: "Ren, have you completely lost your mind? I don't care that you're carrying my child. I'll say it clearly today—I have never loved you, and I will never love you!"

Ren: "But why? I've never hurt you…"

Xavier: "You're just an Omega without value. You are not qualified to stand by my side."

At those words, Ren burst into tears. All hope was lost.

Ren: *Why is this happening to me… my child…*

Xavier: "Very well. Do you have any last words before I throw you into the dungeon?"

Ren: *Th-the dungeon…?*

Ren: "Xavier, you've gone completely mad! I'm carrying your child!"

Xavier: "Blah, blah. Since you have nothing else to say… Guards, take him away. I never want to see him again."

"Yes, sir."

The guards took Ren and locked him in the dungeon. Despite Ren's cries and pleas, no one wanted to help him.

Ren: "Please… my child… sniff… hic…"

After two months in the damp dungeon, a servant came to announce to Ren that his mother would be executed. Ren showed no reaction. The servant left. Three months later, Ren was still in the dungeon, and his belly was already visible.

Ren had become thin. He didn't eat enough every day. He begged for Xavier to Come free him, but without success.

After four months in the dungeon, Ren's belly had fully grown. He was even thinner, nothing but skin and bones, and Xavier still had not come.

Then one day, Ren's stomach began to hurt. His water broke, but he was too weak. He couldn't do anything. He couldn't even speak. He looked like a living corpse.

He smelled terrible. During his time in the dungeon, Ren had been terribly mistreated. Exhausted, he lost consciousness.

After a while, he partially regained awareness and heard voices.

"Oh my God… will he survive?"

"How could the young master treat him like this?"

Ren: *Xavier… what is happening…*

"He won't survive."

Ren: So the end has come…

"How could the master marry so peacefully?"

Ren: What? Xavier got married…?

"Poor thing… and the child… what a waste."

Ren:* My child… my child…*

Despite his efforts to move, Ren was paralyzed due to malnutrition. He was about to die.

Ren: *My child… where is my child…*

"The child didn't survive. Poor thing."

Hearing those words shocked Ren deeply.

Ren: *My child is dead… hic… hic… waaah…

My child, I'm sorry… sorry for being just a worthless Omega. If I could go back, I would never make the same mistakes again…*

Suddenly, a voice in the void answered him:

"Are you sure about what you just said?"

Ren: "Yes. If I could live again, I would not make the same mistakes."

"If that is what you want, my child, your wish shall be granted. You will live again—but not in the same world."

Ren: "What? No—wait!"

The voice did not listen. Everything disappeared, and Ren was reincarnated into another world.
