As the blood of Pellin's only son - Junior- fell in copious amount on the ground, the entire world seemed to fall silent.
Junior was wearing a short dark tunic with loose trousers tucked into small leather boots. His tusks were only small nubs, and his bright and curious golden-brown eyes became dim as his life slowly left him.
At first, Pellin stared frozen as he watched his son bleed to death.
His mind went blank, and he felt like his soul had shattered.
He could not think.
He could not see.
The world seemed to be in the crimson colour of his son.
His mind was filled the image of his son's lifeless eyes.
The pain he felt in his heart, soul, and body was a thousand times greater than anything he had ever felt.
This was a pain he could not even begin to describe.
It was a pain that broke him.
A few seconds later, he saw Simon gently place the corpse of his son on the ground, and his entire body shook.
