Chapter 20 - The Note

Terrence placed his hands on the white rail and leaned forward, staring down at the Kingdom spread out beneath the balcony.

The showers were still running behind him.

Eiselle, Treasure, and Paris were in there getting ready for the Divine Colosseum. Terrence had taken his own shower first on purpose. If he'd waited and gone in with them, there was a very real chance they wouldn't have been leaving the hotel on time and the reason wouldn't have had anything to do with the arena.

He was dressed simply. A black muscle shirt, brown combat pants, and black combat boots. Something light and not too flashy.

"System," he said, still watching the city below. "You already know. Multiply my regular rewards by Quantity, and multiply the others by Rarity."

[I gotchu.]

Terrence stared at the last reward, and a loud laugh escaped him before he could even attempt to suppress it.

He looked over the ridiculous pile of rewards again, his grin widening.

[Let me be OP!!]

"You're always saying that after you're done."

Terrence shook his head, still laughing.

[Am I wrong though?! I'll show you your updates later on.]

He nodded.

"Alright bet."

He was still grinning when footsteps suddenly sounded behind him.

"We're ready, T."

Terrence turned around.

And paused.

His eyes moved over each of them in turn.

Eiselle.

Treasure.

Paris.

They were dressed for the Colosseum and still carrying the heat of the shower on their skin. Oil caught the light on their legs and shoulders. For a moment he did not have a sentence.

His junior did not have that problem.

DONK.

[Time to get back to the roots haha!]

Eiselle's gaze dropped, then came back up with a smile that already knew what it was doing. "Ooo. Looks like someone's excited to see us."

She reached out and took him in her hand through the pants, wrapping her fingers around how hard he already was. She squeezed once and rubbed slowly along the length.

"Very excited."

Treasure's face flushed red all the way to her ears. Paris's eyes had gone glossy, and she was drooling openly now, staring at him like she wanted to put her mouth on it herself.

It was always the nice ones.

"Now Eis," Terrence said. "You know if we start that I am not going to feel like walking into the Divine Colosseum."

Eiselle's smile only widened. She turned, gathered her dress in both hands, and lifted it over her plump oiled ass. Then she stepped back and pressed herself into him, grinding that heat against him until a growl pulled out of his chest.

"Ten minutes won't hurt, baby."

He set his hand on her hip.

Fuck it.

"Ten minutes it is-"

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Eiselle froze and her face looked irritated. Treasure and Paris turned towards the door, wondering who it was. Terrence's eyes narrowed and he was at the door before the third knock faded. He opened it.

A note was on the ground and he picked it up.

Come to the Colosseum.

We need to talk.

~ Genesis Prime Avatar

Terrence's eyes widened.

The playful atmosphere vanished from his face instantly.

"Girls."

The three of them looked at him.

"We need to go to the Colosseum. Now."

The urgency in his voice immediately caught their attention.

"What? Why?" Eiselle asked, concern replacing her previous amusement.

Terrence looked at the note once more.

"I'll explain on the way there."

He held the door open.

The girls exchanged glances before quickly moving into the hallway.

Terrence stepped out after them, closed the door, and locked it.

Then he led the way toward the elevator.

The others followed closely behind.

As they walked, Terrence snapped his fingers.

For a few seconds, all three girls froze.

Their eyes became vacant as the information he wanted them to know was transferred directly into their minds.

Then they blinked.

They returned to normal.

Treasure's eyes widened.

"Wait.."

She looked at Terrence.

"The Primes..are actually real?"

Her voice carried genuine shock.

She had heard stories about them from her father when she was younger.

Stories about Primordial beings so ancient and powerful that they sounded more like mythology than history.

Eiselle and Paris wore similar expressions.

Terrence nodded.

"The Primes are real."

He didn't give them everything.

Only what they needed to understand the situation.

"And their Prime Avatars are real as well."

He held up the note.

"Genesis placed this at our door and told us to come to the Colosseum. That's why I reacted the way I did."

The elevator doors opened.

They stepped inside.

Eiselle pressed the button for the lobby.

Then she turned toward Terrence.

"But why would Genesis specifically want you out of everyone else, T? Is there more you're not telling us?"

Terrence was quiet for a moment.

She wasn't wrong.

There was more.

Much more.

"Yes."

Eiselle waited.

"But not on purpose," Terrence continued. "I'd rather sit down and explain everything properly instead of trying to rush through it while we're on the way there."

He paused.

"Besides, I'd rather make sure I tell you three exactly what you need to know."

That was the truth.

Just not the entire truth.

He needed time to decide what could safely be revealed.

Especially when the subject involved the Primes.

Eiselle's mouth twitched into a small smile. "Alright, after."

The elevator reached the lobby.

DING.

The doors opened and they stepped outside.

They immediately spotted a familiar figure.

Get Money was standing near the entrance, smoking a cigar and looking like he was preparing to leave.

He noticed them.

His face immediately brightened.

"Well, isn't it my favorite customers!"

He took another puff of his cigar.

"You all must be going to the Colosseum as well?"

Terrence nodded.

"Yeah."

Get Money smiled.

Terrence gestured toward him.

"Want a lift, G?"

"Sure! Where's your ride-"

Terrence snapped his fingers and decreased the Distance.

In the blink of an eye, they were standing outside the Divine Colosseum.

A small crowd had gathered near the entrance, though most of the attendees were already inside.

Get Money's cigar slipped from his mouth.

He stared at the enormous structure.

Then at Terrence.

Then at the spot they'd just left.

His jaw dropped.

Eiselle glanced at him with a half-smile.

"You'll get used to it."

Get Money slowly bent down and picked up his cigar.

"I highly doubt that."
