"In my study, now," Gotti ordered, stepping away from the door.
Anita sniffed and was ready to take a step when she felt Nero's hand wrapping around her little finger.
She paused, glancing down at him, her pulse racing in fear as she felt Gotti's intensified gaze on her body.
"Nero... I need to answer the Alpha. I will be back soon, I promise. Please, let me go?" She whispered, touching the boy's head.
Nero didn't budge, he stared at Anita's bruised face, her dirtied gown, and scattered hair. Slowly, his eyes went to his father, icy and disapproving.
He shook his head, pointing to his tummy.
Gotti gritted his teeth, stepping into the room.
Anita tensed, her legs feeling wobbly from tiredness and fear.
She had no idea what the Alpha would do to her for delaying his order now, and she had no intention of finding out.
"Nero, please, I'll be quick. It's just a chat –"
"Be quiet," Gotti commanded, stopping in front of her and his son.
