Lucille and Ashrik strolled out from the orchard, the sweet scent of apples and peaches still floating in the air.
Her steps were light, her long hair brushing softly against her shoulders. She happily returned to the open clearing where the farm animals roamed.
The sky above was painted in soft hues of blue and white. The air was so fresh as it carried the hint of earth and dew, even though it wasn't morning.
"Are you that happy?" Ashrik's tone was laced with amusement. "To play with the animals, en?"
Soft chuckles slipped from Lucille's lips. "They remind me of the farm animals I visited back in high school. Just a month before the college entrance examination."
Back then, the school was worried about the high pressure the third-year students were under. Amid their busy study schedule, the principal organized a trip to a farm in the suburbs.
