Chapter 4 - CH.04

While the Vanke father and son continued their research, Fan En casually strolled around the base.

This is a large base with several types of research laboratories and production capabilities.

Besides the Vanke father and son, he also made arrangements for many other people in advance, including Dr. Samuel Stern, also known as Dr. Blue, who is currently in charge of adjusting the human body.

Van En began funding him several years ago, and he also made great contributions to the development of the drug. He is currently Van En's chief biochemist.

There's also Professor Connors, who specializes in limb regeneration. He originally worked at Osborn, but was poached by Vane.

Nothing more than providing a platform for human trials.

After all, some of the scum in Nahaid prison don't deserve to live in this world; it's just that sometimes the law is too weak and fails to fully play its role in punishing evil.

Given Vann's connections with Hydra, even if a serious criminal in prison is missing an arm or a leg, or even dies, it can be easily covered up.

After dealing with some issues within the divine realm, Vane opened a portal and returned to Typhon Manor.

So far, he has not been able to maintain a stable portal, but he feels it's coming soon. At the current rate of population growth, his control over the divine kingdom is becoming increasingly profound.

Perhaps in just a few months, he will be able to open several portals simultaneously or even maintain the existence of portals for a long time.

If he could open portals to the divine kingdom in two or more places at the same time, even if he only used the divine kingdom as a transit point, it would provide him with great convenience.

He currently has several lobbying teams recruiting people in Latin America, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, and other regions.

These places, with their corrupt governments, underdeveloped infrastructure, lack of national oversight, and limited government control, are ideal locations for attracting people.

In addition, he occasionally leads raids on human trafficking in New York, which is also one of the sources of the Kingdom's population growth.

Finally, Nahaid Prison was his private domain, housing some exceptional individuals who were extremely difficult for outsiders to find.

However, he has set strict review standards for all of the above methods, after all, his divine kingdom should be a secluded paradise, not a sinful city.

The following day at noon, Rumlow arrived by helicopter with more than a dozen S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

Of course, they still refer to themselves by the Strategic Homeland Defense, Attack and Logistics Agency.

However, there was an unexpected person who came with them—

General Ross, Bruce Banner's father-in-law.

As far as Van En knows, the Hulk has already been born, fought with General Ross, and then ran away. He is now probably hiding in a beverage factory in Brazil.

We should be able to get in touch with Dr. Stern soon.

As for General Ross, he was rubbing his hands together, gathering strength, and preparing for a full-scale attack at any time.

He had somehow learned about Vann's sub-super soldier serum, but after inquiring about it, he said he wasn't interested and therefore never came.

Now, they should have received news about the BF drug.

This made Vann wonder whether this guy had someone in S.H.I.E.L.D. or someone in Hydra.

After all, considering his character and a series of deeds, this guy doesn't seem like a good person!

Those in the know say he's a high-ranking military representative attempting to gain the Hulk's power, while those who don't would certainly think he's trying to provoke the Hulk and destroy the city.

They fought and lost repeatedly, but fought on despite repeated defeats, and finally took over an entire street in New York.

Sure enough, after shaking hands with Vane, General Ross asked directly, "I heard you have a BF serum that can make soldiers achieve the effect of super soldiers?"

Van En nodded.

Can you show it to me?

Van En bowed politely to show his professionalism: "Anytime is fine!"

Not only General Ross, but Rumlow also visited the demonstration.

The demonstrator was a muscular Black man named Mike Peterson.

He was originally an ordinary man, but he was injured in an accident at work. Later, he was found to be remarkably compatible with dispensing medicine, so he was recruited by Typhon Company.

Mike first demonstrated his normal speed and strength, running 100 meters in 5.2 seconds and lifting a 1368kg weight.

Then, after injecting the BF serum, Mike's veins bulged, his eyes turned red, and his body seemed to swell up.

Upon remeasurement, his running figure seemed to become a blur, leaving dark friction marks on the track.

The speed reached less than three seconds to run 100 meters!

The strength test even exceeded 3 tons!

On the test site, brick walls and 20-centimeter-high cement walls were smashed like toys, and Mike, like a beast in heat, smashed everything in sight.

Only one steel plate, as thick as tank armor, survived, but it was already pitted and uneven.

This state lasted for less than five minutes, and then he went limp like boiled noodles.

Rumlow looked at the scene before him, his eyes twitching with excitement. What man wouldn't like such power?

General Ross showed no excitement and said calmly, "Not bad, but still much worse than what I've seen before."

Vane rolled his eyes. "That's the Hulk you've seen, the top combatant in the geophysics department."

However, General Ross, looking at the mess on the ground, still asked, "I need a squad of soldiers like this. What's the price?"

"The adjustment potion costs $3 million per person, and the BF potion and recovery potion cost $400,000 per set. This is the internal negotiated price within S.H.I.E.L.D.," Vann said casually, betting that this guy couldn't possibly know S.H.I.E.L.D.'s prices.

General Ross frowned. The price of the medicine wasn't expensive, but the BF potion wasn't cheap.

Even if only a 10-man squad is deployed in a single operation, the cost of unleashing the power of a super soldier squad alone reaches $4 million in terms of medicine alone!

It seems we still need to research our own super soldiers.

"I need to transfer 20 soldiers, each temporarily equipped with 3 doses of medicine. I will bring them over in a week," General Ross said.

"Excellent. I will send you the contract and have everything ready for you in a week." Van En smiled and shook hands with him.

After General Ross left, Vann and Rumlow went to see another important member of Hydra, Dr. Faust.

As is well known, one of Hydra's greatest abilities is to have an endless supply of minions, and the secret to achieving this ability lies in another great skill that Hydra has mastered: brainwashing.

As an outstanding psychiatrist, Dr. Faust naturally grew into the master of Hydra's brainwashing techniques.

He has honed his hypnosis, suggestion, and mind control abilities to a level of perfection, even to the point that he can easily control others to commit suicide.

Thus, the entire process for creating Hydra enhanced soldiers was established.

Sitwell and Rumlow selected suitable S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and sent them to Typhon Manor, where, under the guise of adaptation training and psychological counseling, Dr. Faust would teach and brainwash them.

Finally, the alchemists under Van En's command will adjust his powers to give him superhuman strength.

Throughout the entire process, S.H.I.E.L.D. provided personnel and funding, while Hydra profited by acquiring personnel.

Of course, Director Fury had his suspicions. He sent Hawkeye and Coulson to conduct several investigations, both overt and covert, and even Vann discovered traces of Black Widow.

However, thanks to the existence of the divine kingdom, the possibility of leaks of secrets was physically isolated, so the information they investigated was all fake news carefully prepared by Van En.

Moreover, Vann and his team did not tamper with the first two batches of agents who were reassigned. In addition, with Pierce, Sitwell and others acting as inside agents, the one-eyed director's suspicions were temporarily dispelled.

It was only because I heard that Fury had been busy with other things lately that he gave Sitwell and Vane the opportunity.
