Chapter 74: That is Also Part of the Prophecy

Hero Association Headquarters.

The main doors were pushed open, and King walked in with purposeful strides.

The receptionist looked up instinctively. Upon seeing that majestic, domineering face, she froze on the spot.

A full second or two passed before she reacted, her face flushing red with excitement.

"K-K-K... Mr. King? Why are you here at the Hero Association today?!"

AAAAH! It's the living King! The Strongest Man on Earth is standing right in front of me!

Realizing she was losing her composure, the receptionist quickly straightened her collar, tried to normalize her expression, and asked respectfully:

"Mr. King, may I ask what brings you here today? Do you need me to notify Mr. Sitch?"

King nodded. "Yes, please trouble yourself."

"No trouble at all! No trouble!"

The staff member rushed off to notify him. Moments later, Sitch arrived in an even greater hurry.

He practically sprinted to King, stopping only when he was right in front of him, his face etched with nervousness.

"What's wrong, Mr. King? Did something happen?"

Is it a massive outbreak of Dragon-level monsters? The awakening of an ancient god? Or has a legendary God-level disaster descended? Is an evil organization about to overthrow the world?!

In an instant, countless scenarios capable of causing human extinction flashed through Sitch's mind.

In his view, any news that warranted the Strongest Man on Earth coming personally to deliver it must be a crisis that could wipe out humanity.

As it turned out, his intuition was sometimes spot on.

King looked around and frowned, noticing the large number of people coming and going.

To avoid causing unnecessary panic, he and Sitch moved to a private room and sat facing each other.

Inside the room, King was calm and composed, but Sitch felt immense pressure.

Normally, he might not feel it as much, but sitting directly across from the Strongest Man on Earth, the overpowering aura hit him like a physical weight, hammering at his psyche.

To relieve the stress, he picked up his teacup, but his hand trembled slightly.

Sitch took a deep breath to calm himself before taking a sip.

King spoke first:

"Soon, a crisis capable of causing human extinction will descend."

PFFT!!

Sitch spat out his tea instantly. He choked, tears streaming down his face as he coughed violently.

"Cough! Cough! Cough!"

King wasn't in a hurry. He waited patiently for Sitch to stabilize.

Finally recovering, Sitch's face was filled with terror for the first time. He pressed both hands onto the table, his voice trembling:

"Mr. King, is that true? A crisis capable of causing human extinction is coming?!"

He hadn't expected his wild guess to be real. A legendary God-level disaster was actually descending!

"Is it a natural disaster or man-made?" Sitch asked nervously, his heart pounding.

If it was man-made, it could be prevented. If it was a natural disaster, they could only pray for humanity's safety.

Hmm... how should I put this...

King organized his thoughts and spoke solemnly:

"Strictly speaking, you can view it as a natural disaster.

" soon, a powerful Universe Dominator will descend upon Earth. He will lead his fleet and spaceship to arrive above City A.

"According to my prophecy, the moment they arrive, they will unleash a terrifying bombardment, instantly wiping out the entirety of City A."

What?! Aliens?!

Sitch was already numbed by the sheer volume of shocking information, but this keyword made him lose his composure again.

He had imagined natural disasters or powerful monsters being born.

But you're telling me it's aliens?!

"Mr. King, this..."

Sitch was at a loss for words.

From a cognitive standpoint, he found it hard to believe such an absurd prophecy. Where would an alien invasion come from? How could our satellites not detect anything?

But the problem was that this "absurd" prophecy came from King, the Strongest Man on Earth.

Just that fact alone made it irrefutable truth.

"I understand, Mr. King. The Association will immediately form a highest-level disaster response team. Based on your prophecy, we will deploy a series of defensive measures. We will raise City A's defense coefficient by two levels—no, three levels!"

Sitch made a solemn promise, his eyes full of determination.

If this prophecy was true, they had to prepare defenses in advance. Otherwise, City A would become a graveyard.

City A was the first massive metropolis built among the 26 cities. It was the largest in size, had the highest population, and its political importance went without saying.

If it were destroyed just like that, it would be a devastating blow to humanity!

"Then I'll leave it to you."

King nodded, stood up, and turned to leave the room.

He had come here for this reason: to reduce the casualties in City A through his forewarning.

After all, even King didn't know exactly when Boros's ship would arrive, or if his existence had altered the timeline of their arrival.

Since everything was uncertain, the only option was to strengthen City A's defenses beforehand to avoid the outcome of instant annihilation.

Seeing King turn to leave, Sitch breathed a sigh of relief and prepared to stand up.

But in the next second, King stopped near the door and slowly turned his head back.

Sitch froze, tension returning to his face.

No way... is there another crisis?!

King turned around and spoke with a straight face:

"Oh, right. Before long, Madame Shibabawa should make a corresponding prophecy. You can use that to verify the truth of my words.

"Also, tell Madame Shibabawa to eat fewer throat lozenges recently. Otherwise, there's a probability she might choke to death on one. That is also part of the prophecy."

Sitch: "Huh???"
