Chapter 129 - Chapter 129 - Mass Element Card Production!

After assigning the nun sisters their tasks, Ron personally planted a total of 540 Chameleon Radish plants.

Of these, 54 plants made up one set, and three such sets—with magically illustrated leaves—would be used for producing the Noble Edition of Element Cards.

The remaining seven sets, lacking magical illustrations, would be used for the Civilian Edition, essentially standard playing cards.

Once the task was explained, Ron had Guy accompany him to scout the surrounding plots of land that hadn't yet been officially approved.

Meanwhile, the nun sisters remained at the field, staring at the rows upon rows of strange plants, whispering among themselves with puzzled expressions.

"Sister Sylvie… What is all this?" one of them finally asked.

Sylvie didn't answer immediately. She reached out and picked a leaf. In her palm was a card imprinted with the legendary Tier-7 spell Storm Cyclone, marked with the "K" symbol in the corner.

She stared at it in silence.

These past few days staying at Ron's Wonderful Flower Shop, aside from ensuring His Eminence's safety at all times, Sylvie had also begun to understand some of his day-to-day life.

For instance, he dined at the same table as "servants" like Nora—and even cooked for them himself.

His schedule was incredibly disciplined, and both his martial and magical skills steadily advanced.

He enjoyed reading, and the bookshelves in his shop were filled with a wide range of literature.

His manner toward others was uncommonly gentle—so much so that it was hard to believe he was a prince. In fact, rather than "gentle," it was more accurate to describe him as laid-back and unconcerned.

And on the business front, His Eminence Ron was far from idle.

For example, she knew for a fact that a former Gold Reserve Bank manager—a goblin—was currently working under him (the very same one who came with them today).

He also had dealings with the Gemstone Trade Alliance, though Sylvie didn't know the details.

As for these strange Chameleon Radish plants and their printed leaves, Sylvie had already seen Ron and his friends playing with them at the flower shop. She knew they were some sort of entertainment cards.

So, judging by the scene now, was His Eminence really planning to mass-produce these cards using magical plants?

And had he specifically summoned nuns skilled in the Plant Manipulation Spell just to increase production?

Did he… really see this card business as a serious opportunity?

Sylvie looked at Ron's distant figure, her gaze contemplative.

She knew very well that the flower shop's profits alone had likely already elevated His Eminence's wealth to staggering heights.

If it were just about money, that alone wouldn't be enough to motivate him.

So, she gathered her thoughts and solemnly addressed the assembled nun aunties:

"His Eminence Ron is the Chosen of the Harvest Goddess. He carries a divine mission entrusted to him by the goddess herself. His actions are not for us to question lightly."

"I know these cards are used for games and entertainment, but I'm sure His Eminence wouldn't go to such lengths to mass-produce them merely for profit."

"There may be deeper strategies at play—perhaps even connected to the future of the Church of the Harvest Goddess."

"So I must ask all of you to treat this task with the utmost seriousness. Laziness and shortcuts will not be tolerated."

"Please take this work with the sincerity and respect it deserves."

Ron, unaware of this conversation, returned after inspecting the surrounding lands with Guy. He had designated several plots and tasked Guy with handling the approval process.

When he returned to the field, he immediately noticed a subtle change in the atmosphere.

The nun aunties now seemed… more solemn?

Ron was a bit puzzled by the shift, but assumed it had to do with his title as a Chosen One and didn't think too much of it.

What he didn't realize was that Sister Sylvie had managed to "fill in the blanks" of his actions, giving them divine depth and purpose—and it all sounded strangely convincing.

In truth, Ron's decision to produce and sell Element Cards was just something he found fun.

After all, life in another world was boring, and he needed something interesting to pass the time.

As for bringing in the nuns? That was purely a cost-saving measure. It had nothing to do with the will of the goddess or any divine mission.

And this "grand scheme that could affect the church's future"…

Well, if you count "I think it'd be fun to make Element Cards popular" as a grand strategy…

Then… sure, maybe.

With the nun sisters now assigned and in full swing, Ron's Element Card Mass Production Plan was finally on track.

Using spells like Leaf Fall and Withering, the sisters could harvest the leaves efficiently.

And with the Plant Manipulation Spell to regrow them, they could harvest batch after batch of cards rapidly.

In just one day, producing nearly ten thousand decks of Element Cards wasn't a pipe dream.

However, in reality, that kind of volume was still a stretch with just the current twenty-something sisters.

The main limitation was mana reserves.

After all, they were only Tier-2 mages, and their mana pools weren't particularly deep.

Even though Ron had planted Nether Orchid inside the prayer house to help speed up mana recovery, and had split the sisters into two alternating shifts…

There were still gaps between recovery and production that couldn't be perfectly synced.

So at the end of the first full day, the actual output was around 2,000 to 3,000 decks.

But Ron wasn't the least bit worried.

Once the other batches of nuns arrived, these issues would sort themselves out.

He was in no rush.

Within just a few days, total production had already exceeded 10,000 decks. These were transported to the warehouse, where workers packaged them for distribution and handed them off to one of Kiel's father's trade caravans.

Kiel's father was a goblin merchant whose caravans were affiliated with the Gemstone Trade Alliance, traveling between the Dwarf Tribes and the Human Empire's Royal Capital.

Each of Kiel's siblings had their own storage space within the caravans and were allowed to pick their own goods to sell.

Their sales performance was meticulously recorded and submitted to their father.

Whoever accumulated the best numbers over time would eventually inherit control of the caravans.

It seemed fair on the surface—but it really wasn't.

Though Kiel shared the same father as his siblings, their mothers were very different.

Kiel's mother was a relatively pretty but ordinary human woman, without a powerful family background or notable abilities.

Because of this, Kiel had received very little support from either parent growing up.

Unlike his siblings, who had backing from their maternal families.

In the past, Kiel had tried his hand at selling various goods but had failed to achieve decent results.

Eventually, he became cautious with what he transported, and instead focused on proving he had magical potential—even if just barely.

He convinced his father to fund his entry into the Chaos City Magic Academy.

Of course, he never expected to actually become a mage—his magical aptitude was minimal.

His real goal was to gain legitimacy, build connections, and use those to sniff out opportunities in the magic world.

That's how he discovered Element Cards.

And how he had the incredible luck to meet His Eminence Ron.

Since then, things had only gotten better.

Compared to that, his recent breakthrough to Tier-1 Mage—thanks to secretly using Nether Orchid in the academy's magic tower—barely mattered.

Because being a Tier-1 Mage was nothing compared to being known as "His Eminence Ron's business partner."

On the third day after production began, Kiel arrived at the factory with members of his trade caravan and received the first shipment of 5,000 decks of Element Cards.

Then, he set off for the Royal Capital to begin his sales journey.

Ron's little hobby project, born out of boredom, might just end up changing the life of a mixed-blood merchant forever.
