The first rays of sunlight filtered through the curtains of Kaiser's room, drawing thin golden stripes across the floor. The room was quiet, barely disturbed by the distant singing of the academy's birds.
"Shit," Kaiser swore as he heavily opened his eyes, fighting a bit with sleep.
He slowly sat up, yawning nonchalantly while stretching a little. He then glanced at the corner of the room and noticed a pile of stored boxes.
"Too lazy to unpack this stuff… especially in such a shitty room," he muttered before flopping back onto the bed.
The room itself was quite simple, comfortable of course, but nothing ostentatious. It was easy to guess the academy's policy just from the composition of the dorms.
A bed with clean sheets, a wooden desk, a wardrobe, and an attached bathroom. Here, just like in his original world, an apartment like this cost a fortune.
