Chapter 165 - Chapter 165 — Jalabie’s Rules, Loud Silence, and Why This Is Not a K-Drama

Three hours later, the door creaked open.

Before anyone could even look up, Hindi sounds spilled into the room loud, sharp, and undeniably abusive 😤🗣️.Everyone froze.

"It's them," someone whispered.

Jalabie and Barfi had arrived.

Jalabie stepped in first, still mid-sentence, hands flying, voice full of fire 🔥. The room went quiet in that awkward way, like when a storm walks inside with shoes on.

Then Jalabie suddenly stopped, smiled, and greeted everyone Indian style 🙏🙂, palms together, head slightly bowed. The switch was instant. Chaos to culture.

Barfi followed behind, calm as ever, greeting everyone normally with a small nod and an easy smile 🙂.

For a second, no one moved.

Then Laddu walked forward.

No chest bump.No drama.

Just a simple handshake 🤝, firm and respectful.

The tension softened, like sugar melting in hot chai ☕🍬.The room exhaled.

Whatever had been shouted outside stayed outside.

For now. 😌✨

Jalabie's phone rang.

He checked the screen.

"Sister."

The café went quiet on instinct. 😶

Jalabie answered immediately, posture straight. 🧍‍♂️

"No," he said into the phone.

"I didn't go to India."

"Yes. I'm with Laddu and Barfi."

Laddu leaned in and waved at the phone like an obedient nephew. 👋

"Don't worry, big sister," Laddu said politely.

"I'll take care of him."

Then his voice dropped into dramatic sadness. 🎭

"Sister… my house burned," Laddu added.

"I need drink." 🍺

Everyone froze. ❄️

"But men don't drink alone," Laddu continued quickly.

"Please give permission. Please please." 🙏

A long pause.

Jalabie listened.

Nodded once.

The call cut.

Jalabie looked at Laddu.

"You have sister permission to drink," he said.

Laddu's face lit up instantly. ✨

"BOYS' NIGHT!"

"No," Jalabie said immediately. ❌

"Of course not."

He folded his arms.

"Your family needs you more."

Before Laddu could argue, Jalabie's phone rang again.

Unknown number.

Jalabie answered and switched modes instantly. 🎯

"Yes."

"Yes."

"Report at cabin."

"Understood."

Call ended.

Laddu blinked.

"…Boss call?"

"Yes," Jalabie said calmly.

🍺 Not Celebration. Just Exhaustion.

They sat down anyway.

Two bottles appeared on the table.

Not celebration.

Just exhaustion. 😮‍💨

Jalabie stared ahead.

"One man," he said suddenly,

"stick body."

"He told me stay away from her."

Laddu raised an eyebrow.

"And?"

Jalabie stood up.

Without another word—

He dropped to the floor.

One.

Ten.

Fifty.

Two hundred push-ups later, he stood up like nothing happened. 💪

"Now I will eat chicken," Jalabie said.

"Strong dinner." 🍗

Barfi sighed into his glass.

"That thing we were fighting," he muttered,

"runs too fast. My bullet always miss."

"Skill issue," Jalabie said seriously.

Barfi stared.

"…Rude."

💥 Romance Complaint Department

Laddu suddenly pointed at Mochi.

"She doesn't understand me," he complained.

Mochi looked up. 👀

"I love her," Laddu continued, emotional now.

"I want to be in her arms."

"Kiss her." 💋

Maya coughed loudly. 😳

"But look at her face," Laddu said, frustrated.

"When men make cute face—"

He demonstrated.

Horribly. 😬

"—her face looks like she came to someone's death ceremony."

Silence. 🧊

Mochi stared at him.

Barfi slowly turned away.

"I'm not involved."

Jalabie nodded once.

"Danger zone."

Mochi crossed her arms.

"Finish your drink," she said calmly.

"Then we'll talk."

Laddu softened instantly.

"…Okay." 🥺

He took a sip.

Looked at her again.

Hopeful.

Unapologetic.

Chaos stayed.

But everyone remained seated.

Which, in this family, counted as peace. ☕🪑

🍭 Candy vs Jalabie: Philosophy Round

Candy walked up to Jalabie, curiosity fully armed. 🎯

"You work in Korea, right?"

"So… do you go to K-pop concerts?"

Jalabie thought for exactly one second.

"No."

Candy blinked.

"…Why not?"

"I like only lollipop," Jalabie replied seriously. 🍭

"And old classical music."

Maya frowned.

"Lollipop is also loud."

"Not loud," Jalabie corrected.

"Sweet."

He folded his arms.

"I don't like loud places," he added.

"I like peace." 🕊️

Candy stared at him.

"Then you have no friends," she declared.

"You have to change."

The room stiffened. ⚠️

Jalabie slowly looked down at her.

Then, without warning, he lifted Candy gently and placed her on the table so they were eye to eye.

Not rough.

Not angry.

Serious.

"If you have to change yourself to be part of a group," Jalabie said calmly,

"that means you don't belong to that group."

Candy stopped smiling.

"And Candy," he added,

"you don't need friends to live."

Silence.

"You need only yourself," he finished.

Candy blinked.

"…Really?"

"Yes," he nodded.

"Friends are extra. Not oxygen."

Mochi felt something settle in her chest.

Laddu smiled faintly.

"That's heavy."

Jalabie placed Candy back down carefully.

"But," he added,

"if someone stays without asking you to change—"

He paused.

"That person is friend."

Candy nodded slowly.

"Oh."

"Okay."

Maya exhaled.

"…Why is the scary man wise."

Barfi muttered,

"He's always like this."

Candy hugged Jalabie's leg. 🫂

"You are strange," she said.

Jalabie nodded.

"Yes."

No one laughed.

Because some sentences don't ask for laughter. 🖤

🎬 Romance Theory vs Reality

Candy looked up again.

"You have girlfriend?"

Jalabie shook his head.

"No."

Candy frowned.

"Then why you hate your job?"

"I don't hate job," Jalabie corrected.

"I don't like people near my job."

"…Why?"

"They talk," he said flatly,

"only about K-drama love."

He waved his hand.

"Boy. Girl. Cry. Hug. Cry again."

"Nothing else in life."

Maya whispered,

"…Accurate."

"If you want romance," Jalabie said seriously,

"do romance with self-improvement."

Candy tilted her head.

"Like what?"

"Gym." 💪

"Healthy food." 🥗

"Temple." 🛕

"Good people."

"Elders."

"Nature." 🌿

The café went quiet.

"So… you don't like romance?" Candy asked.

Jalabie opened his mouth—

🚨 Not a K-Drama

The door flew open. 💥

Two Korean bodyguards in black suits entered first.

Silent.

Wide.

Professional.

Everyone froze.

Then she walked in.

Tall.

Sharp posture.

Money in human form. 💼

The air changed.

Jalabie stiffened.

"…Boss?" he asked.

She spoke fast.

Angry.

Then Hindi exploded from her mouth.

Candy whispered,

"She angry."

Jalabie sighed.

"Do you need anything?" he asked respectfully.

More Hindi.

She snapped her fingers.

The bodyguards stepped forward.

"Hey—" Jalabie started.

They lifted him clean off the ground. 😶‍🌫️

Candy gasped.

"UNCLE FLYING."

Jalabie didn't resist.

"This is why I hate people," he muttered.

They dragged him toward the door.

Before chaos could grow—

Barfi stood up.

Wobbly.

Drunk-walk activated. 🍺

He went outside calmly.

Came back ten seconds later.

Carrying a black bag.

He placed it gently on the table.

THUD. 🖤

Everyone stared.

Barfi then picked Candy up carefully and placed her in Mother's arms.

"Hold her," Barfi said calmly.

"Adult business."

Mother hugged Candy tightly. 🤍

Maya whispered,

"…What is in the bag?"

Laddu didn't answer.

The boss paused.

Looked at the bag.

Looked at Barfi.

Barfi smiled politely.

"Let him go," he said softly.

The bodyguards hesitated.

Jalabie looked back at Laddu.

"…Gym later?" he asked.

Laddu nodded once.

"Dinner first."

The boss raised her hand.

The bodyguards stopped.

Silence.

The café held its breath. 😶

Whatever romance was.

Whatever job drama existed.

One thing was clear—

This wasn't a K-drama.

And Jalabie's life

was never going to be quiet. 🔥
