Chapter 37 - CHAPTER 37 — WHEN LIGHT WALKS THROUGH THE DOOR

2 WEEK LATER AFTER GOING TO ANOTHER STATE (WHAT HAPPEN 2WEEK STORY BE ANOTHER NOVEL NAME DON AND DOCTOR)MOCHI AND LADDU RETURN TO THERE TOWN BEACUSE...

⭐ AT HOME — A HEAVY ROOM 🕯️

The moment Mochi stepped inside, she felt it.

The air was thick.Heavy.Like something fragile was about to break.

Her father sat in the living room with two older relatives. Their backs were straight. Their faces tight. Words sharp, clipped, impatient.

Her mother sat on the sofa.

Small.Tired.Hands resting on her lap, trembling slightly.

One of the relatives spoke without warmth.

"At fifty years old? This is too dangerous. You must think responsibly."

Mochi's chest tightened.

Her father turned to her, voice firm.

"Mochi. Explain to your mother.""She already has three children. You. Candy. And your older brother serving in the army.""We don't need a baby at this age."

Mochi froze.

She hated raised voices.Hated confrontation. Her shy nature curled inward like a wounded animal.

Her mother kept her head down. Said nothing.

That silence hurt more than shouting.

Mochi stepped closer, heart pounding.

"MOTHER…" she asked softly."…are you okay?"

Her mother forced a smile, thin and tired.

"They think I shouldn't continue the pregnancy," she said quietly."They think… it's foolish."

Something twisted inside Mochi.

Fear.Love.Helplessness.All tangled together.

Candy wasn't home. If she were, she'd already be yelling at everyone, throwing pillows, declaring war.

But Mochi wasn't Candy.

She didn't shout. She swallowed pain like warm tea and stood quietly by her mother's side.

⭐ EVENING — A DOORBELL FULL OF LIGHT 🔔✨

The sun dipped lower. The house grew quieter… but not calmer.

Words like risk and danger floated through the rooms like ghosts.

Mochi stood by the window, fingers gripping the curtain, heart squeezed tight.

Then—

A voice shattered the tension like fireworks.

"MOOOOCHIIII!!""OPEN THE DOOR BEFORE MY HANDS FALL OFF!!"

She startled, then rushed to the door.

When she opened it—

Light walked in.

Laddu stood there, glowing like a festival.

Arms overflowing with:

🍎 bags of fresh fruit🍲 warm soup containers🍬 boxes of sweets🍼 special food for pregnant women🌿 herbal drinks🎈 and—because he was Laddu—two completely unnecessary balloons

He beamed.

"Your mom needs healthy food," he announced proudly."And comfort. And happiness."He lifted the balloons."And sometimes balloons. Very important."

Mochi blinked.

Her shoulders relaxed for the first time all day.Her chest felt lighter.

Behind her, the house was full of tension and fear. But at the door stood someone carrying nothing but warmth.

Her mother looked up.

Her eyes brightened instantly.

"Oh… Laddu," she said softly."You didn't have to—"

"I did," Laddu interrupted proudly."Because the baby deserves a good welcome."He smiled at her."And you deserve smiles."

The room went quiet.

The relatives didn't know what to say.Her father frowned—but didn't interrupt.

Mochi watched Laddu as he carefully placed the bags down, talking gently, moving like he belonged there.

Her shy heart whispered something she barely dared to think:

This boy…He doesn't fight darkness.He brings light instead. 💛

And for the first time that day—

The house felt warmer.
