In the deep confines of a dark and mysterious cavern deep in the woods, the 5 supreme spirits discuss their plans for the future.
"Why don't we just leave this pathetic world behind us and travel elsewhere!" said Welion with an aggressive tone of voice.
"We can't… as much of a benefit it would be to find a stronger world, we can't. The spirit realm is still damaged after the great soul war. If we were to leave now, we might become abstract and vanish from existence. We can't take that risk." replied Yelius.
As powerful as the spirits were, they were still spirits. Their very existence was reliant on the status of the spirit realm. If the spirit world were to be destroyed by any threat, it would lead to mass extinction for their species. The spirit realm also controlled other concepts like transdimensional travel as well.
"I still don't get it…" Chimed Verzim. "Why can't we just continue living as we have for the last thousand years?"
"Because Verzim, the current state of the world is far too damaged for our existence in it to be swell. We're trying to come up with a plan so that we can keep our current level of power." Replied Xeclez.
"The next life we live must be impactful and we must be able to adapt quickly" Said a voice from a dark corner of the room.
The voice came from Zedius, the leader and most powerful of the spirits.
The spirits were ranked on a scale based on the first letter of their names in alphabetical order: (1)
• First came Verzim, the youngest and weakest of the spirits. Despite being thousands of years old, his personality and mindset resembles that of a child's.
• Second in line is Welion, the second youngest and weakest of the spirits. He has the most aggressive demeanor of them all without the power to stand up to most of his brethren.
• In the middle of the spirits is Xeclez, he's in the middle of the four when it comes to age and power. He acts like a moderate voice of reasoning in situations. He's usually the deciding factor in the group's decisions.
• Fourth of the spirits is Yelius, he's the second strongest and oldest of the spirits. He's the smartest of the spirits and the most logical. He usually thinks situations through and uses his intelligence against his oppositions.
• The last of the spirits is Zedius, the strongest and oldest of everyone in the group. He's the most secretive and secluded of the spirits and doesn't always cooperate with the others for certain tasks.
Even though it may seem as if the spirits are the strongest beings in their world, there exists a being who governs all of them. The spirit king, a being who exists in a higher plane of the spirit realm. He governs over the souls and spirits of anyone. He can remove anyone's spirit/soul with a mere thought. He created the concept of souls and spirits in the world and created all 5 of the supreme spirits.
After hearing the words of Zedius, Xeclez gains a bright idea on how they can continue to thrive in their world.
"I have an idea. Why don't we just rebirth in a more modern version of the world? Think about it, if we disappear, the humans will be able to improve upon society without having to worry about us. Then we can reappear when they grow in power." Xeclez informs the other spirits.
The spirits pause to ponder his proposal.
"Actually… that's not a bad idea X," replies Yelius. "Then we can grow in power when we return!"
The other spirits agree as well to his plan.
"But X, how will we be reborn? We don't have immediate access to the materials required for a rebirth?" Says Verzim.
"Then we'll just have to get them I suppose," replies Xeclez.
Xeclez channels conscious transmission with his spiritual energy. He transfers his consciousness into the mayor of the nearby town. Using the body of the mayor, he orders a delivery of reincarnation crystals to their cavern in the forest. His assistance questions his decision put follows through with it.
An hour later, the delivery is made and the spirits bring them inside the cavern.
"Before we follow through with this, we should make a pact for when we reincarnate into the next life." Says Xeclez.
He uses his energy to create a magic pact for the spirits.
~ Magic Pact ~
• For the pact to work, all participants must agree to it. Once the decision is made, the guidelines made by the creator of the pact will be applied to all the participants. Once it's made and signed, the guidelines can't be broken unless the pact has been collectively broken.
Xeclez sets the guidelines that once they all reincarnate. They are instructed to gather. The pact also says that they will all be notified when the conditions are met.
The spirits take turns signing the pact to ensure that they're all able to meet each other in the next life.
"Alright, ready everyone?" they all collectively agree.
The spirits all infuse the reincarnation crystals with their spiritual energy. The crystals glow as they react to the energy. Pillars of light engulf the spirits as they start to activate.
"See y'all in the next life…" Says Xeclez
The spirits suddenly disappear as the crystals fully activate. A wave of silence fills the emptiness to compensate for the missing beings.
