Chapter 1 - Neighborhood Disturbance

"How long is this going to take?" I said to myself.

For a couple of days now there has been this odor smell emitting from the room above. Just me in my room eating popcorn can feel this smell as if it was coming from my closet. What in the world could possibly make something smell so bad? The answer is... nothing. So what could it be? Spoiled meat? No, that can't be.

"ALBERT!" "ALBERT!" "THE FOOD IS DONE" my father shouted my name since it was time to eat. I figured best to do so now that I can since the smell isn't that odorous anymore.

I told him at the table: "Dad, are you sure you didn't feel, or rather smell anything?"

He said: "Albert enough with this smell that you're after, I can't feel it or smell it so enough with you shenanigans"

No one in this entire town believed me. I've talked to maybe 20 people from my neighborhood and all I got was the same answer.

I've asked my father and my brother multiple times if they smell something rather revolting or nauseating. And all those times I got the same old answer. Nope. That's why I told myself that I will be going up there and discussing with them about this matter because it can't continue any longer. I won't allow it.

The next day:

I woke up same as all the other days. I opened my blinds and got blinded by the raging summer sun. It's so hot outside that I wouldn't spend a second being there because I would probably be cooked meat by then. But right as I was enjoying the sunlight something sickening came to my senses. I could feel this repellent odor, something so strong it's almost making me cry. And I knew exactly who's fault that was. It could only be. The ones upstairs. I hurried to the front door and I put my shoes and coat on and took the stairs to the next floor of the apartment. Only did I know what I was about to witness.

As I leapt over the stairs a sudden odor started irritating my stomach and becoming even more pungent that I almost puked. And as I approach the last door on that floor the already pungent odor became even more pungent. But when I look at the door I could see it slightly open, as if someone broke in. For some reason there was claw marks engraved to the wall. I hurriedly held the handle and made the door fly to the other side and I see a very dark room but what catches my eyes is the dark silhouette of a figure standing in a dog-like position. It's essentially about two times taller than me, how could that be? No human could ever be that tall. But what interests me is that it seems to be feasting on something.

I took a courageous initiative and took a step forward, entering the building. And that's when my jaw dropped. There is something poking out of this person's, no, "creature's" body. What the hell is this? And as I stand seeing a glimpse of what "it" is feasting I see a very young man whom legs have disintegrated and I see the arteries gushing out blood as if it was a river flowing in his room. The blood pool is so massive not even I could comprehend the amount of damage and suffering this dear gentleman had to endure.

I took a step to the side to get a more clearer view of the situation. And I see a very distinguished man looking like he was just about to go on a job interview. The sorrow in my heart couldn't even comprehend this. What if my father or my little brother got attacked like this.

As I was taking another step the whole floor creaked so loud that I was now the new attention of this beast, this monster, this creature. As it was turning around and just about to attack me I could hear a voice. A heartwarming voice of what I believe to be a woman. Her voice was so soothing and it was calming down the hysterical me. I believed in the moment everything would be okay. However the loud roar of the creature startled me and made me snap out of it. As I look to the entrance I see a darkened figure having light shined on her back. I could see her about to take a step when the beast suddenly leapt at her.

I shouted "HEY LOOKOUT!" but I could see her smiling. I was confused at first but then she just disappeared. Like as she was never there. Even the beast was confused and repeatedly looking around and suddenly "BOOM". A big amount of wind sent the beast flying across the room into the wall on the other side of the apartment. I was so shocked I couldn't speak. It wouldn't take long before the beast stood up again.

For some reason having it agitated made it insane. It looked like it was evolving into something even more vicious, even stronger. I could see the frown bestowed upon the girls face as the beast hurried to attack. Her sword, hidden all this time was unsheathed as she prepare for a battle. However she didn't react in time and I could see her being flown across the room. As she was laying neck down against the wall I could see a little skeleton pin flashing red and green colors.

How would I help her? I completely helpless. If she, a person who sent a creature like that flying with wind what would I to be help of? I look over to her unconscious body with her neck tilting down to the side. There something on her robe that's flashing colors. It's some kind of a skeleton-pin flashing what I believe to be indications. It's flashing green and red maybe it's telling her something. But she can't receive the message since she's unconscious and the monster is guarding her so I can't do anything neither.

But then the same green and red light starts to flash from the young fella who got killed. I hurriedly went to him and took it out of his pocket. The same skeleton-pin as the girl has. Thinking it had some power I put it on.

However this would lead to the biggest thing ever happening in my life.
