Chapter 19 - Revere Me as You Would a God

"Spread out—everyone, spread out!!"

"You little brats, at this level of battle, standing this close is basically courting death!"

"Move back! At least two hundred meters!"

"Now—go!!"

The Uchiha elders shouted themselves hoarse, forcefully driving back the clan members who were trying to watch the duel up close.

The younger generation of Uchiha, in particular, were burning with curiosity about the legendary power of the Mangekyō Sharingan.

But the old men—those who had survived the era of Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama—were already retreating with practiced efficiency.

If the space allowed, they would have gone even farther.

Even two hundred meters away still carried the risk of collateral damage.

Before long, a vast clearing opened up.

At its center stood only two figures—

Uchiha Nan

and

Uchiha Fugaku.

"Then let's begin," Nan said calmly.

The purple phantom of Susanoo behind him rapidly solidified.

First came the arms.

Then the ribcage.

Then the torso.

A colossal half-body skeleton wrapped around Nan, enclosing him within its chest.

As Nan continued pouring chakra into it, flesh formed over bone, the giant growing rapidly—

fifty meters tall… and still rising.

"More!!"

Nan roared.

He could feel it—the Mangekyō's potential hadn't been fully tapped yet.

Armor plates snapped into place over the giant's body, and its height surged again.

Seventy meters.

Nan's eyes throbbed faintly with pain.

So this is the limit…

The Mangekyō Sharingan could only take him this far.

Madara's complete Susanoo—over a hundred meters tall, crowned with that crystalline helm—

That was the realm of the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

But this—

This was more than enough to deal with Fugaku.

Nan raised his massive hand.

A dark yellow blade materialized in Susanoo's grip, forged entirely of molten magma—

the manifestation of Magma Release.

Uchiha Nan—full combat output.

"To witness such power in my lifetime…"

"Heaven truly blesses the Uchiha!"

"With this, who in Konoha could possibly stand against us?!"

"HAHAHAHA!!"

The purple giant stood tall.

Even from two hundred meters away, the sheer pressure of Susanoo's chakra made hearts seize.

This was no longer power meant for humans.

This—

Was the power of a god.

The Uchiha elders were ecstatic beyond reason, tears streaming down their faces as they screamed in delirious joy.

The younger Uchiha stared at Susanoo without blinking, their eyes filled with awe, envy, and burning desire.

Honestly—

what young man didn't dream of piloting a giant mecha?

Fugaku stood there, staring up at the towering colossus before him, his mind flooded with an overwhelming sense of insignificance.

Regret crept in.

Why did I agree to fight him…?

I'm supposed to battle this monster?

From where he stood, even craning his neck, Fugaku could barely see Nan himself—

only the immense, oppressive body of Susanoo.

"Are you ready, Fugaku?" Nan asked calmly.

Looking down at Fugaku, small as an ant at his feet, Nan finally understood Madara's mindset.

With this kind of power, who would ever care about the opinions of ordinary people?

Submission was the only rational choice.

Still, Nan consideredately gave Fugaku a moment.

"We can begin," Fugaku replied stiffly.

His hands clenched around his sword, palms slick with sweat.

Charge—test him first!

"AAAAAH!!"

Fugaku rushed forward, leaping toward Susanoo's leg and slashing with all his strength.

Clang!

A chip appeared in Fugaku's well-worn blade—

Yet Susanoo remained completely unscathed.

Such terrifying defense…

Fugaku's heart ached as he stared at his sword.

It was forged from top-grade steel, infused with expensive chakra-conductive minerals—

And it still couldn't scratch Nan's defense.

"Feels a little itchy," Nan remarked casually.

No pain.

Just mild irritation.

"Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation!!"

Fugaku's hands flew through seals. Chakra surged.

In an instant, a raging sea of flames swept forward.

That one's decent, Nan admitted with a grin.

Without the combined Water Release of several jōnin, that inferno would devour everything in its path.

But—

Not him.

Nan swung his blade once.

The flames were cleaved apart instantly.

The shockwave shot into the sky, traveling over a kilometer before tearing apart the clouds, leaving a massive hollow in the heavens.

At the same moment—

Alarms blared across all of Konoha.

The massive defensive barrier surrounding the village—

was casually destroyed by that single strike.

"Enemy attack?!"

"All units on high alert!!"

"Evacuation team, move the civilians—now!"

"Alert every clan immediately!"

"I'm going to inform Lady Mito!!"

The ANBU commander roared orders.

Had an enemy breached the village?!

Konoha descended into instant chaos.

Civilians were rushed into underground shelters according to emergency protocols.

Meanwhile, Nan remained blissfully unaware—

fully immersed in what he considered a game with Fugaku.

"So strong…"

"I can't win…"

Fugaku stared at the sky in horror.

Was that really an attack a human could unleash?

His strongest Fire Release technique—

effortlessly erased.

His offense couldn't even match Nan's defense.

Perhaps Nan could stand there doing nothing, and Fugaku still wouldn't be able to hurt him.

"Uchiha Nan-sama," Fugaku said at last, his voice heavy.

"I concede."

There was no point continuing.

To defeat Nan would require drowning him in corpses—

endless waves of jutsu, seals, constant attrition—

Only then might there be a chance.

Nan, please—withdraw your divine power.

Hearing Fugaku surrender, Nan felt a twinge of disappointment.

Already? I wasn't done yet.

Still, he dispelled Susanoo and prepared to enjoy the spoils of victory.

The moment Susanoo vanished, exhaustion crashed down on him.

His body felt hollowed out, strength draining away.

Wielding power far beyond one's limits came at a cost.

For someone who had only just awakened the Mangekyō, even using ocular techniques smoothly was impressive.

Susanoo required far more familiarity—

forcing it out like this was self-destructive.

But Nan didn't care.

It was an experience ticket anyway.

And this display?

Absolutely worth it.

From this moment on—

The entire Uchiha clan would revere him as they would a god.
