Synopsis
(A BrightWin Fanfiction. Bright as Jay and Win as Cole) Jay is desperate—hungry, broke, and clinging to the hope that one job could finally change his life. All he wants is a chance to step inside the company that could save him. Then Cole blocks his way. Sharp eyes. Sleek fashion. An air of authority that doesn’t belong in an applicant’s line. Cole doesn’t speak—he only stares at Jay, long and unreadable, as if assessing something deeper than his résumé. Around them, the employees bow in silent respect. Who is he? Before Jay can question it, his attention shifts to the elegant woman standing beside the man—wealthy, composed, clearly someone important. The sight sharpens Jay’s resolve. If getting close to her is the key to securing his future, then so be it. But the arrogant Cole continues to watch him. Too closely. Too intently. As if Jay has already stepped into something he doesn’t yet understand.

His hands wrapped around a wood....

A wooden stick swept across the dirty streets of Est Balcotahe. With a sigh, Jay wiped the sweat off his forehead and looking everywhere. People were walking past him, some with their phones, many with heads straight to their paths.

"Lucky them..."

Jay placed the broom beside him, he sat in front of the famous glass building as people step inside the sliding doors, waiting for his chance hopelessly. "When will it be my turn." he uttered, stomach grumbling in response.

He had been sweeping floors, serving drinks because his life depends on it—Jay's determination never failed...

But it might be his last straw.

A suitcase suddenly banged his shoulder, making him look up with furrowed brows.

"Oh sorry I didn't see you there," A guy in a black polished suit said calmly, while Jay's eyes looked at him with offense. There were men behind him as the man stood tall and proud, hair glistening in gel.

Jay's jaw clenched and stood up, "Do you know how much I sweep here all day? I know it's just an accident when you hit me but why aren't you careful—"

Jay gulped and the words that were in his mind faded. He nodded, refraining himself to make any rude remark. The man walked past by him with a slight glint in his eyes, then looking away.

But then something caught Jay's eyes.

A woman with sparkly eyes followed behind the man, looking at back at Jay. He double-blinked as if he saw a goddess dressed in Prada.

He sighed and eyes stared at the broad shoulders clothed with the black polished suit, followed by men. "I wanna punch that arrogant man but I can't afford it. Haa. Literally." Jay leaned to the wall, eyes wandering elsewhere.

But when Jay's eyes went inside again, the man in that suit was still staring at him in the elevator with an uknown glint in his eyes.
