After the family finished dinner, Shiros excused himself, went up to his room, threw himself on the bed, and fell into deep sleep.
The next morning, as he was coming down the stairs, he found Raoul talking to a strange man. He heard some of the conversation:
"Raoul, I am the sorcerer Cloud. I want to rent a room with special specifications. I hope you have one like it."
"Please."
"I want it spacious, without windows, on the ground floor, and most importantly..... ;)"
Raoul said: "I have a room with these specifications, but it's full of things. I use it as storage, so to empty it for you, you must pay a respectable price."
"I'm ready to pay ten dirhams per night."
Shiros exclaimed: "Oh God, that's a big amount."
The sorcerer Cloud looked at him and said: "Who are you, boy? Are you eavesdropping on my conversations?"
"Oh, I'm sorry, sir. I apologize deeply. Please forgive me."
"Get out."
Shiros found himself in an embarrassing situation; he could only quickly leave the inn.
He passed again through one of Babylon's main streets, but this time in new clothes—not very fancy but respectable. He had no place to go, so he decided to visit his homeless friends.
But that alley was somewhat far, so he decided to go to a café for breakfast, then make the walking trip to his companions.
His eye fell on a café with a sign above its door reading: "Magical Exchanges Café No. 13." It was clearly a café for sorcerers, but Shiros entered.
A guard behind the door stopped him: "Boy, this café is dedicated to sorcerers only. Go away."
Shiros uttered nonsense: "I am a sorcerer, sir."
"Really? Then what are the negative properties of fiery matter?"
"Uh, I forgot, hahaha."
"Go, boy, before I slap you."
"But my father told me to wait for him in this café."
"If it turns out you're lying, believe me, I'll hit you. What's your father's name?"
Shiros tensed, cold sweat appeared on his forehead, but he answered: "Umm, Cloud... My father's name is Cloud."
