Oga's Half-Baked Plan
Night had fallen, and Oga Tatsumi was in his natural state: plotting ways to dump responsibility onto someone else.
Furuichi's room reeked of convenience-store snacks and desperation. Oga lounged on the floor with a cup of tea, Beel happily gnawing on his shirt sleeve.
"So, as I was saying," Oga began, spinning another one of his ridiculous stories. "There was this fine, young lumberjack, kind-hearted and admired by all. One day, he dropped his axe into a lake, and the spirit of the lake appeared to ask which axe was his—"
"STOP!" Furuichi shouted, slamming his desk. "You're not fooling anyone with these bedtime stories! Just admit you picked up some random demon baby and now we're doomed!"
Oga smirked. "Wrong. This is your chance."
"My... what?"
"To live happily ever after with your girl." Oga suddenly lunged, shoving Beel into Furuichi's arms. "Here! You raise him!"
Furuichi shrieked as if handed a bomb. "WHAT KIND OF BEST FRIEND DUMPS A DEMON BABY ON ME?!"
The baby's eyes watered. His lip quivered.
"Oh no. Oh no no no—"
"Don't you dare cry, brat!" Oga panicked, trying to peel him back off.
Too late.
Sparks filled the room. Electricity surged. Furuichi's apartment shook as if struck by lightning.
The explosion blew the windows open.
The Arrival of the Gothic Riders
Through the shattered window, a shadow loomed. A giant, black, bird-like beast perched on the sill, its wings spreading ash into the air.
And on its back...
A tall woman, dressed in gothic elegance, parasol in hand, eyes glinting with disdain. She stepped off with grace, ignoring the ruined state of the room.
"I pity you," she said coldly, "for believing the child of the Demon Lord could ever be yours."
Furuichi shrieked. "ANOTHER CRAZY PERSON JUST BROKE INTO MY HOUSE!"
Oga glared. "Oi, this is my house."
Furuichi snapped. "NO IT'S NOT! THIS IS MY HOUSE!"
The woman ignored them. She extended her arms.
"Come now, Young Master Beelzebub. Let us return."
Beel, however, clung tighter to Oga's chest. His tiny arms latched like iron. His face buried itself into Oga's shirt.
"...Eh?" Oga blinked.
The woman's expression cracked for a moment. "...He's rejecting me?"
A soft laugh filled the room.
From behind her, another figure emerged, stepping gracefully down from the black bird.
The Entrance of Kogen
The boy was slender yet sharp, every movement flowing like water. His features were delicate, almost feminine — pale skin, long lashes framing eyes that glowed with unsettling warmth. His lips curved into a gentle smile, beautiful and disarming.
And yet, the air seemed to tighten around him.
Dangerous. Alluring. A predator wrapped in silk.
Even Furuichi — who normally only drooled over women — found himself stuttering. "Wh-... who the hell...?"
The boy clasped his hands lightly in front of him, his smile never faltering.
"My name is Kogen," he said softly, his voice smooth, melodic, with an undertone of mischief. "The Queen has asked me to serve as the mother of Lord Beelzebub while he is in this world."
"Mother?!" Oga barked. "The hell are you talking about? You're a guy!"
Kogen tilted his head. "Does gender matter when it comes to love and care?"
The words, simple as they were, carried an odd weight. His eyes shifted to Beel, and instantly the infant squealed, reaching out with chubby arms.
"B-Ba!"
"Ah... my little prince." Kogen scooped Beel into his arms with elegance, nuzzling his forehead. "Did you miss me?"
Beel giggled — actually giggled — and pressed his face against Kogen's neck, clinging like ivy. His tiny hands clutched Kogen's collar, unwilling to let go.
The possessiveness was clear.
Kogen's smile darkened just slightly, eyes glinting with protective amusement. "So attached already. How adorable."
Oga scowled. "Oi, brat. What's the meaning of this? You won't let go of me, but now you're climbing all over this guy?"
Beel turned his head, glaring at Oga with unexpected intensity, as if saying: Back off. He's mine.
"Are you kidding me?!" Oga roared.
The Demon Maid's Declaration
The gothic woman finally sighed, exasperated. She closed her parasol and gave a curt bow.
"Hildegarde. Maid to the Great Demon Lord. And that child—" she gestured to Beel, "—is Kaiser de Emperana Beelzebub IV. He has chosen you, Oga Tatsumi, to be his parent."
"Parent?!" Oga exploded. "What part of me looks like a damn parent?!"
Beel, still in Kogen's arms, suddenly reached back toward Oga, babbling happily. Sparks flickered between them.
Kogen raised a brow. "Oh? It seems he's quite possessive. Even when he clings to me, he doesn't want you far away."
Oga gritted his teeth. "Don't make it sound weird!"
Furuichi, meanwhile, was losing his mind. "Wait, wait, wait! You're telling me this green-haired baby is the son of the Demon Lord?! As in destroy humanity Demon Lord?!"
"Correct," Hilda said simply. "And since His Majesty is... unavailable at present, Young Master Beel will grow under your care."
She pointed her parasol at Oga's head.
"Do not resist. It is already decided."
The Demon Courier
The room shook again as a strange sound echoed — a door creaking open, though there was no door where the sound came from.
Out stepped a tall, grotesque figure with a leering face, his body stretching impossibly.
"The name is Alaindelon," he announced proudly. "Dimensional transfer specialist. I was the one who brought Lord Beel here."
Oga's eye twitched. "Wait. That old fart I saw floating down the river... that was YOU?!"
Alaindelon winked. "Indeed! And you, Oga Tatsumi, were chosen at random to be fused with the Young Master's bond!"
"RANDOM?!" Oga thundered. "You mean this whole mess is just luck of the draw?!"
Meltdown
Before anyone could argue further, Beel began to cry.
The sound was small at first.
But the sparks built.
Lightning shot across the room, frying the walls.
"Shit! He's gonna blow!" Oga grabbed for him.
Kogen, however, remained calm. His smile never faltered as he pressed his cheek to Beel's. "There, there, my darling. Don't cry. Your mother is here."
For a moment, the storm stilled. Beel's sobs softened. His eyes shimmered with tears as he looked at Kogen.
Then he twisted, reaching desperately for Oga.
"B-Ba!"
Lightning erupted again, stronger.
Kogen's smile widened, dark amusement flickering in his eyes. "Oh... how fascinating. He wants both his parents."
"STOP SAYING THAT!" Oga yelled, clutching his smoking hair.
Bond Sealed in Blood
The chaos reached its peak outside. Delinquents had gathered, hoping to see Oga beaten at last. Instead, they witnessed a nightmare.
Hilda slashed her parasol, summoning bursts of demonic energy. Alaindelon warped around, cackling. Beel screamed, crying harder.
And then—
A cut opened on Oga's cheek. A single drop of blood fell onto Beel's face.
The baby's cry turned into a wail, lightning exploding outward in a catastrophic blast. The delinquents were blown away. Hilda shielded herself with a barrier. Furuichi fainted.
Kogen, however, held Beel close, his smile serene, his eyes sharp as blades. "This bond... it's stronger than I expected."
Oga, scorched but standing, placed his hand on Beel's head. "Oi. Stop crying. You'll be laughed at."
Miraculously, Beel stopped. Just like that.
Everyone froze.
"...See?" Oga smirked. "I'm amazing."
Kogen chuckled softly, elegant and chilling all at once. "Oh, you are many things, Oga Tatsumi. Amazing is certainly one of them."
The words dripped with both admiration and mockery. His smile was too perfect, too unreadable.
Beel, safe again, nestled into Kogen's arms — but his tiny hand still reached for Oga.
The triangle was formed.
The delinquent.
The demon's mother.
The demon lord in diapers.
And Hell was only getting started.
