Nora's POV
"James bought you a house?"
"Something like that." I placed the two steaming cups from Linus's Café onto the counter. Ophelia had opened the shop this morning while I made my essential coffee run.
"You can't sort of buy a house. Either someone purchases it or they don't."
"He noticed how much I loved the place, and neither of us can stand this long-distance arrangement we've got going on. Especially when we're restricted to nighttime for everything. This way he can modify the house to be vampire-safe, and we'll actually have real time together."
Ophelia blew across her steaming latte, trying to cool it down. "So you're actually moving in with him?"
"Yeah," I replied, though uncertainty colored my voice. "Everything feels like it's happening so fast. Moving in together already." I pulled the lid off my coffee, watching the steam curl upward from the dark liquid. "And James hasn't mentioned it directly, but I can see that time weighs on him."
"Time?"
