"How did you find out?" Charlette asks, her face going pale.
"Reina just sent me a message. Here's exactly what she wrote: 'Hey, Nora! The story hasn't reached mainstream media yet, so you might not have heard. A contact in the Tampa region informed me that three bodies were discovered hanging with their throats slashed in Zain Park. All victims appear to be random selections, including an Asian tourist visiting the area.' I'm messaging her back right now."
Me: Damn. Any additional details?
Reina: Yes, should I call you?
Me: That would be great.
Moments later, my phone buzzes. "Hi, Reina," I pick up.
"Hey, Nora. One day I'll contact you with positive news."
"I wouldn't know how to handle that," I laugh dryly.
"Exactly. The casual conversation would feel strange without discussing demons."
"Can I switch to speaker? Ophelia, Gideon, and Charlette are here."
