However, there was no need for Skye to know about this. After all, while New York was dangerous, there weren't many incidents that could truly threaten the entire city.

After briefly explaining the situation to Skye, Finney took her back to New York.

It was around four o'clock in the afternoon again. The effects of the previous battle were still rapidly spreading, and everyone in the city was frantically discussing Finney and the battle.

Some demanded that Finney step forward, reveal his identity, and surrender his weapons.

Some were even considering Finney a faith and preparing to establish a cult.

Others were just curious onlookers, blindly joining the commotion.

But regardless of their motivations, nothing could change the public's curiosity about Finney or their fear of the battle.

Sadness and pain were also quietly spreading. Even though they were defective, the explosions caused by two hundred robots were no less devastating than those on the battlefield.

Although Finney had tried his best to resolve the problem, many people were still injured or even killed.

This incident made Finney truly realize the cruelty of war; Ivan had only controlled a few hundred robots, yet he had already caused such immense damage.

Finney couldn't imagine the horrific scene if Thanos's Chitauri army were to invade.

Perhaps the construction industry would be exceptionally busy in the coming years.

Today was destined to be a memorable day for New York; on this day, people re-evaluated Tony's importance and witnessed just how powerful a person could be.

Although many still doubted whether Finney was even human…

Under such immense influence, Nick Fury couldn't remain calm.

So, in the evening, he rushed to Los Angeles, went to Tony's villa, and informed Tony of his arranged meeting with Finney.

  …

"You arranged to meet a secret service chief at my house?"

As soon as the call connected, Tony's annoyed voice came through, reminding Finney that Tony hadn't been around when he talked to Natasha.

"Didn't your agent secretary tell you?"

Finney tried to shift the blame.

Sure enough, mentioning Natasha made Tony's face darken even more, and he impatiently urged into the phone, "He's waiting for you. Get him out of my house now."

  He then hung up.

Finney scoffed, told Skye, equipped 'Haunted by Evil,' and teleported to Mount Everest first, then opened a portal to Tony's house.

Seeing the sudden ring of fire in the sky, Nick Fury couldn't help but be surprised. Although he'd studied it countless times in videos, seeing it in person was always more awe-inspiring, especially the snow-covered landscape on the other side of the portal, clearly indicating two vastly different locations.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Silver Knight!" Nick greeted Finney in a deep voice as he stepped out of the portal.

  "How happy are you?"

  "..."

"Just kidding." Looking at Nick Fury's dark face, Finney stopped teasing him and asked directly, "What do you want from me?"

"Who are you? Where are you from? How did you acquire these abilities?"

Seeing Finney's straightforwardness, Nick didn't beat around the bush. Based on Coulson and Natasha's intelligence analysis, the 'Silver Knight' should have a gentle personality, so this kind of question shouldn't anger him.

Indeed, Finney wasn't angry or anything; any normal person would be curious about him, and even in Kamar-Taj, many mages were amazed by his abilities.

"Sorry, I refuse to answer these questions."

While not angry, Finney had no obligation to answer every question. He didn't even intend to reveal his identity as a sorcerer to Nick Fury. He

had told Tony before because even if Tony knew, he would only investigate secretly and it wouldn't affect Kamar-Taj.

But if he told Nick Fury, given S.H.I.E.L.D.'s resources, if he accidentally found out about Kamar-Taj, they would turn the place upside down.

Finney didn't want to cause trouble for Kamar-Taj.

  "Then what can you answer?"

Nick's one eye was fixed on Finney.

Tony, standing nearby, didn't interrupt. Actually, Finney's ability to remain hidden until now was largely due to his secret help, such as spreading false information or creating 'possessed' models to mislead agents.

  "Hmm..."

Finney thought for a moment. It seemed he really had nothing to say to Nick Fury, but he did have a few questions for him.

He didn't want to reveal his identity, and as for Hydra, he had thought about that for a long time before coming.

When Finney decided to meet Nick Fury, he considered whether to tell him about Hydra.

However, after much deliberation, he felt it wasn't the right time. S.H.I.E.L.D. was too vast, and Hydra was too numerous within it.

If he told Nick Fury now that at least half of S.H.I.E.L.D. might be Hydra, he couldn't predict what would happen.

Would Nick Fury secretly eliminate them all, or would Hydra, realizing they'd been exposed, simply confront S.H.I.E.L.D. openly and fight to the death?

The first scenario would be manageable, but the second would be disastrous. What if

S.H.I.E.L.D. lost again? Would he have to single-handedly destroy the entire Hydra organization?

Although he had recently become somewhat arrogant, he hadn't reached this point. Strategically, he might despise the enemy, but tactically, he needed to take them seriously. While Hydra might not seem to have any powerful individual forces at the moment, who knew what trump cards they might have?

Furthermore, the Avengers haven't been formed yet, and the world needs an organization to maintain security, even if it's Hydra.

So, Finney thought about it and decided not to inform Nick Fury about Hydra for now. It's better to keep things under control than to let the future remain uncertain.

Unfortunately, Finney didn't know that because of Ivan Vanko, Nick Fury already had a seed of suspicion planted in his heart, but he hadn't yet had time to investigate.

"It seems there's really no answer. Does 'I'm not threatening' count?"

Finney thought for a moment, ultimately deciding that contacting S.H.I.E.L.D. was too troublesome.

"Even a tiger might not attack a person immediately after eating its fill."

  "What do you mean?"

  Finney frowned.

"Whether it's dangerous or not isn't for you to define." Nick Fury looked intently at Finney and continued, "We need to understand you."

"So you're planning to put a collar on me?"

Finney's eyes narrowed, mentally calculating the consequences of starting a war with S.H.I.E.L.D. now. Although the Ancient One forbade him from involving other sorcerers, she probably wouldn't stand idly by if he asked for help.

"No, I just want to give you a certificate."

With that, Nick Fury picked up a folder from the table beside him and handed it to Finney.
