Chapter 26 - Chapter 26 Skye's 'Possessed by Evil'

  "What cloak? I don't care."

Finney thought to himself as he made various strange movements in mid-air, such as lying on his side and sitting cross-legged, selectively forgetting that he had spent an entire day talking to the cloak in order to gain its approval.

He had initially worried that the Iron Monger was determined to escape, but now, with the Aerial Flight technique and the portal, he didn't believe the Iron Monger could really be that powerful.

However, now that the battle was foolproof, the question was when to start. Tony probably hadn't even started actually building the Mark II yet.

The Iron Monger was in an even worse situation; those terrorists had probably just thrown the wrecked Mark I out of the sand and were racking their brains to put it back together.

With so much time to prepare, Finney wasn't in a hurry. He should focus on practicing and mastering the Aerial Flight technique before considering anything else.

As long as he was strong enough, he would find a way to deal with whatever the enemy did.

After drifting around the room for a while, Finney finally prepared to rest. Exhausted, he quickly fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning, Finney, who didn't have afternoon classes, was full of energy and ready to practice his aerial acrobatics. However, before he could even leave the room, Skye stopped him.

  "What are you doing?"

Skye stood at the door, her brow furrowed with suspicion. Seeing Finney's unpredictable movements again, she was worried something might happen and wanted to get to the bottom of it.

  "Uh, nothing, just normal practice."

Seeing Skye's suspicious look, Finney rolled his eyes, then thought for a moment, and suddenly said with a mischievous grin, "Want to come along?"

Skye didn't notice Finney's expression, and just shook her head dejectedly, replying, "Never mind, I can't learn it anyway. Be careful, don't hurt yourself again."

Seeing Skye's expression, Finney stopped her mischievous grin, patted her head tenderly, and comforted her, "It's not a big deal if you can't learn it. Didn't I tell you you have other abilities? It's just that the time isn't right yet."

"Come on, let's go together today. I'll show you something."

Without waiting for Skye's refusal, he pulled her hand and opened a portal.

  "Portal!"

With his previous breakthrough, Finney could finally use the portal normally, though he still needed the 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique' command for assistance.

Skye stared blankly at the instantly changed environment for a long time before finally coming to her senses and saying helplessly, "I still have a lot of things to do!"

"It's okay, take a break first!"

Finney replied with a grin, then suddenly asked, "By the way, are you afraid of heights?"

  "What?"

Skye didn't react immediately, but the next second she understood the meaning of the question, looking at Finney floating in the moonlight with shock:

  "You can fly?"

"Want to go up into the sky together?"

Finney flew in front of Skye and asked with a smile.

Few can resist the allure of flight, and Skye was clearly not one of them.

This different experience from sitting in an airplane thrilled her, and she knew Finney wouldn't have said it if he wasn't confident, so there was no need to worry about falling from the sky.

"Come on, let me hold you!"

Seeing Skye's expression, Finney knew her answer. He landed in front of her and scooped her up in a princess carry.

A blush instantly rose on Skye's delicate face, her amber eyes darting slightly. Although they were siblings, they weren't related by blood.

Finney didn't think much of it. After picking Skye up, he excitedly launched himself into the air. He teleported to the most familiar Mount Everest, but at a lower altitude, so it wasn't so cold.

As they ascended, the white expanse of the night sky came into view, a breathtakingly beautiful sight. Skye temporarily forgot her shyness, looking down at the scene.

"So beautiful!"      Skye murmured involuntarily, the feeling of floating in the air and seeing the scenery was absolutely incomparable to sitting in an airplane.

After taking Skye for a while in the sky, Finney returned to the ground. Thinking of Skye's somewhat disappointed expression earlier because she couldn't learn magic, he felt that perhaps he could risk trying something.

"When did you learn to fly?"

After landing, Skye was still immersed in the flight and asked Finney curiously.

  "I just learned it recently."

Finney described his breakthrough in the snow as learning the Flying Technique, which wasn't entirely wrong. If it weren't for the experience gained from the breakthrough, he wouldn't have been able to obtain the Flying Technique.

  "Oh."

Skye nodded knowingly. Although she understood a little, she still couldn't help but warn again, "Cultivation is fine, but you must not harm your body!"

Seeing Skye suddenly adopting an elder's tone, Finney chuckled and then hesitated before asking, "Skye, I have something that might allow you to experience extraordinary power. Do you want to try it?"

  "?"

Skye once again showed a curious yet confused expression.

  "Possessed by Evil!"

Finney summoned the 'Possessed by Evil' longsword, then held it and explained to her, "This sword can adapt to the wearer's body, transforming into a suit of armor that greatly enhances the user's physique. Would you like to try it?"

The Ancient One's test had already proven that it could be worn by others.

  "Can I?"

Skye asked, both nervous and excited. After giving up learning magic, she had been heartbroken for a long time. Now, with the opportunity to experience this extraordinary ability, how could she not be overjoyed?

"Trying it shouldn't be a problem,"

Finney said thoughtfully. 'Possessed by Evil' was, after all, his skill; he could cancel it at any time if anything went wrong. His only concern was that Skye might not be able to wear it, which would likely disappoint her even more.

  "Double Skye's physical attributes!"

Before equipping Skye, Finney used 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique' to maximize her physical enhancement, then let her extend her delicate white hand to grasp the longsword.

  "Possessed by Evil!"

  Skye cried out sweetly.

Red energy overflowed from the longsword, enveloping Skye. The phantom reappeared behind her, and Finney carefully observed the ancient life residing within 'Possessed by Evil'.

  "Roar!"

A strange and weak roar escaped its lips, seemingly dissatisfied, but ultimately it slowly embraced Skye.

Seeing this, Finney suddenly recalled the Ancient One. If the roar back then had been a dragon's roar, Skye would be like a kitten with its fur standing on end.

Fortunately, the equipment was successful. This was the first time Finney had truly let someone use 'Possessed by Evil'. Ultimately, 'Possessed by Evil' was a skill, not an Imperial Arm; otherwise, it would be impossible for so many people to equip it.

The phantom dissipated, and the fully equipped Skye appeared before Finney. But to his surprise, Skye's 'Possessed by Evil' was vastly different from his own.

  "How can it have wings!?"

Besides the drastically different style, Skye's 'Possessed by Evil' also possessed a pair of wings!

Did this damned dragon have a mind of its own? Was it a lewd dragon!?
