"So… join me, Jin."
The long spell of persuasion finally neared its end.
Behind the mask, the single exposed eye of Obito could no longer conceal the fanatic fervor burning within. It blazed brightly.
Even the hoarse, deliberately disguised voice he'd been using picked up a trace of youthful excitement—almost light, almost eager.
He didn't seem to notice the change himself.
All of his focus was locked onto the small figure before him.
His gaze burned with confidence—confidence that spoke of absolute certainty.
And Jin… lifted his small face as well.
Those dark, gleaming eyes met Obito's with equal intensity.
That look—
it almost seemed as if he were truly moved by this grand vision of a new world, filled with… yearning?
The next instant—
Both of their pupils shrank sharply!
The air seemed to freeze for a heartbeat!
Kamui!
Kamui!
Humm—whoosh!
Two clearly visible, space-twisting vortices erupted into existence at almost the exact same moment!
Yet their intentions were completely opposite.
Obito wanted to package Jin up and take him away.
Jin wanted to package Obito up and send him off.
In a strange way, their thoughts aligned perfectly.
Ten meters away—
Bang!
When he saw the vortex fail to move Jin even slightly, Obito was struck as if by an invisible sledgehammer, stumbling backward a step!
Even the spiral mask seemed to warp for a moment.
Behind it, his face twisted into shock and disbelief.
"What's going on?! Kamui's spatial transfer—"
The vortex had clearly formed, firmly locking onto Jin!
But—
It failed?!
It wrapped around Jin cleanly, smoothly… yet overlapped with another, extremely similar spatial fluctuation radiating from Jin himself.
Like two incompatible streams of water colliding—interfering, canceling each other out.
At the center of the clash, Jin stood perfectly still.
Not even the corner of his clothes was tugged.
"This feeling…"
"The control over space… why does it feel like it's in this brat's hands?!"
The moment Obito realized this, a tidal wave of shock and suspicion exploded in his heart.
But before he could even voice the question—
A violently familiar tearing pain erupted from his right arm!
"Ugh—!"
Obito let out a short, stifled groan. Combat instinct kicked in instantly—
Kamui!
Whoosh!
His body turned intangible.
But it was already too late.
Splurt!
Blood mist exploded outward!
His entire right arm—along with half his shoulder—was ripped clean off!
Just inches in front of him, a spatial vortex identical to Kamui spun slowly.
At its center were fragments of his arm and shoulder, instantly shredded into nothingness!
Puff!
They burst into a cloud of blood.
Spatial fluctuations… vortex form… distortion and devouring…
This sensation… this power…
"T-This is…?!!!"
Behind the mask, Obito's Sharingan widened to the brink of tearing apart.
An overwhelming shock crashed over him like ice water, locking his body stiff!
Impossible!
Absolutely impossible!
Yet that spatial wave—familiar to the depths of his soul—
That unique "flavor" of Kamui's space-warping power—there was no way he could mistake it!
Two words nearly burst from his mouth.
An absurd, unthinkable conclusion—yet one he couldn't deny—detonated in his mind.
"Kamui?!!!"
The scream ripped out of him, shrill and cracking, like a marmot knocked senseless.
"How can you use Kamui?!"
At that moment, the single eye exposed by the mask burned with extreme shock and fury.
He couldn't believe it—no, he refused to believe it.
This ability, meant to belong only to the pair of eyes… had appeared in another Uchiha?!
Amid the raging fury, an even more ridiculous thought surfaced:
"Could it be—this kid is actually Kakashi?!"
He never imagined he'd be reduced to such a sorry state by a mere boy.
Rustle.
Rustle—rustle—rustle.
Thanks to the regenerative power of Hashirama's cells, his shattered body quickly began to recover.
"Hoo…"
He tested his right arm, then finally let out a breath of relief. Looking at Jin again, his expression was complicated.
"I'll remember you, Uchiha Arata."
"I hope next time we meet, you'll still be able to surprise me."
With that, Kamui activated once more.
He didn't dare stay here any longer.
As ridiculous as it sounded, when he looked at Jin's youthful face, bizarre thoughts kept surfacing in his mind.
As if, before this person, he was completely transparent.
Even the fleeting instant when Kamui's intangibility dropped—
that exact timing had been seized.
"Just a coincidence… right?"
He muttered to himself, yet deep down, he couldn't shake the feeling—
Jin had anticipated everything.
After a brief hesitation, he chose to retreat.
With Kamui's intangibility, he stood almost invincible by nature.
"Too bad I couldn't twist his head off directly."
Jin shook his head, regretful.
If he'd been able to crush Obito's head just now, so many things would already be over.
And Madara? He'd probably leap straight out of his coffin and start dancing.
What a pity—no chance to see the old ancestor dance early.
Still, maybe it was for the best.
After all, the Akatsuki wasn't fully formed yet.
"Heh… I'll be back."
Leaving those words behind, Obito vanished completely.
Jin waved lazily. "See you next time, leek."
With Obito out there recruiting talent, and Uchiha Itachi already turned into a controlled undercover piece—
The Akatsuki leeks were as good as harvested.
Once everything settled, Jin finally turned his gaze to the panel before him.
His eyes burned.

By coincidence—or perhaps inevitability—
both the bloodily crushed Itachi and the driven-off Obito yielded Sharingan traits.
Though one of them was… incomplete.
Taking a deep breath, Jin didn't hesitate.
"Fuse them. Stack both traits onto my Mangekyō Sharingan!"
Mangekyō + Mangekyō + half a Mangekyō—
two and a half Mangekyō should be enough for an Eternal, right?
Humm—humm—humm.
Three purple-glowing orbs before his eyes began to merge and condense!
His pupils suddenly burned.
Heat surged and rolled, and Jin's head began to ache violently.
Within that pain, a burst of golden light rose before his eyes!

Gold drop!
And it was a brand-new Mangekyō ocular ability!
His Mangekyō—finally had a power of its own!
Jin's heart burned with excitement as he hurried to look at the trait's details.
