MONDAY MORNING - THREE DAYS AFTER TRANSFORMATION 3:47 AM
Eve woke to hunger.
Not the gradual, building need from previous mornings. This was immediate, intense, desperate.....her body screaming for energy it didn't have, her succubus nature demanding to be fed NOW.
She gasped, her hand clutching her chest where a sharp, painful ache was building. The hunger was so intense it physically hurt, like her body was eating itself from the inside out.
Her skin began to glow....but it was dim, weak, barely visible in the darkness. Not the bright golden light of a healthy, fed succubus. This was the faint, flickering glow of someone starving.
Eve looked at the three brothers sleeping soundly beside her. Damian on her left, his face peaceful in sleep. Damon in front of her, his breathing deep and even. Silas on her right, one arm draped protectively over her waist even in sleep.
They looked exhausted.
