Chapter 85 - Chapter 85 – Anna: “She only deserves to crawl on the ground!”

Akame ga Kill World.

"Whoa, more reinforcements this time!"

Bulat's face lit up with excitement as he watched.

After all, Fujimaru Ritsuka's frail yet resolute voice had moved countless hearts—and big brother Bulat was one of them.

"Thank goodness."

Tatsumi felt the same; he exhaled in relief, never having imagined that the girl named Fujimaru Ritsuka in the comments could show such steel.

It shamed him; as a man he had to push himself harder, harder, harder!!!!

"Let's hope this newcomer doesn't vanish in a flash like the last one," Mine added; the previous hero, Benkei, had barely introduced himself before dying.

Basically he'd just blocked the enemy for a moment, then keeled over—like he'd only shown up to say hi.

"Could be an enemy,"mordred said calmly, suspecting this new arrival had come to stop Fujimaru Ritsuka from escaping.

"Unlikely. Appearing now means she's here to help Fujimaru Ritsuka's group."

Najenda took a drag from her cigarette. "Look, mordred—the instant she arrived she pinned down that so-called Goddess Tiamat."

"And from the sound of Fujimaru Ritsuka's voice, she clearly recognizes her."

mordred gave a slight nod and said no more; she'd only voiced a suspicion.

Seventh Singularity, the Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia.

"Whoa?"

Merlin stroked his chin, eyes on the figure in the video. "Didn't see that coming—this is surprise upon surprise."

"The Demonic Beast Queen?" Ushiwakamaru blinked at Gorgon's appearance.

With two goddesses already present, this last one could only be the final member.

"So the entire Three Goddess Alliance has joined Uruk?"

Leonidas I was baffled; he'd never imagined the future would turn out this way.

"Isn't that good news?"

Benkei kept smiling, though his cheek twitched; they'd fought so long only to learn the Three Goddess Alliance would later switch sides and fight Tiamat.

It left them speechless.

"Hmm…" Merlin wasn't surprised; a thoughtful glint in his eyes, he smiled. "Perhaps some future event persuaded the three to join us."

"The Master of Chaldea?" Ushiwakamaru watched the exhausted Fujimaru Ritsuka battling on with life itself.

She began to understand: maybe this human's resolve had convinced the Three Goddess Alliance to stand with Uruk against Goddess Tiamat.

Inside the video.

Wings unfurled, revealing a woman with a human torso and serpentine tail. Her eyes opened slowly as she regarded Tiamat.

Her hair snared Tiamat in place while casually grabbing several Lahmu.

"Gorgon?!"

Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mash stared in shock; they'd thought her dead—killed by Anna.

"Let go! Let go! Let go!!"

The Lahmu's chorus grated like psychic static.

"Let go, you filthy fake!!!"

A flock of winged Lahmu dived at Gorgon.

"Quiet." Gorgon's hair became serpents that snapped them up. "Mindless mud."

With a squelch the serpents crushed the Lahmu into black sludge that vanished mid-air.

"Why?" Mash was bewildered.

"Are you helping us?" Fujimaru Ritsuka asked, equally puzzled.

"Help you?" Gorgon turned to her.

"Yes!" Desperate, Fujimaru Ritsuka blurted, "Hold Tiamat here!!!"

Gorgon gave her a sidelong glance. "You're the ones in the way."

"In the way?" Mash faltered.

Gorgon regarded her coolly. "You can't even lift your shield anymore."

Mash looked down; her shield was flickering, on the verge of dispersing.

She gripped it with a gasp—she hadn't realized she'd reached her limit.

"Look at that Master's fingers," Gorgon continued. "Short on mana, they're about to necrotize."

The camera closed in on Fujimaru Ritsuka's pale, trembling fingertips

Fujimaru Ritsuka silently clenched her fists, hands trembling slightly as if refusing to admit defeat.

"I will shatter Tiamat's wings myself," Gorgon said, looking at Fujimaru and Mash, her tone dead serious. "I'll make her remember she belongs on the ground!"

Gorgon had been onstage for less than half a minute, yet every word rang with overwhelming might.

Fujimaru seemed to understand. "Got it. We'll leave this to you."

"..."

Gorgon's gaze softened. "You don't need to ask."

"!!!"

Fujimaru's pupils quivered; she sensed what was coming.

Gorgon looked away, eyes closing. "Go. Now."

"Mm… thank you." Perched on the pterosaur, Fujimaru watched Gorgon's back. "Good-bye."

The winged reptile beat its wings and flew rearward.

Gorgon kept her eyes shut, as if she hadn't heard.

"Senpai, wait!" Mash called frantically. "That Gorgon—she's Anna!"

"Mash!" Fujimaru cut her off, voice thick. "I know."

"!!!"

Mash sniffled, tears beginning to fall.

Clearly, Anna had been their comrade.

The 80,000-Demon Pandemonium!

After Mash and Fujimaru departed,

Gorgon spread her wings. Eyes still closed, she whispered above a beastlike roar, "I never said a proper farewell, but this is enough."

"Sorry—I just didn't want you to see me like this."

"Seeing me would only hurt you."

Her voice sounded younger now, almost childlike.

As she spoke, Tiamat stirred; one step forward snapped nearly all the hair binding her.

"Aaaaaaaaaa!!!"

With violet-red eyes Tiamat glared at Gorgon and roared.

She was about to break free.

"But, Goddess Tiamat, you'll know real pain!" Gorgon opened her eyes; violet light flared.

A pale-red magic circle appeared and instantly expanded.

"Become the great serpent god—strike down the sky dragon!"

Her hair lifted like serpents, coiling around her like living tentacles.

Meanwhile Tiamat advanced, countless Lahmu rushing at Gorgon.

"Melt everything!!!"

Gorgon showed no fear. "Mandatory Seal—Pandemonium Cetus!"

Boom—!!!

A black-red beam surged from the array and slammed into Tiamat.

Whrrr—!!!

Terror-filled light poured onto the goddess.

No barrier rose; after blocking Quetzalcoatl she had no strength left.

Crack!

A deep fissure split Tiamat's horn—Quetzalcoatl's doing.

Gorgon would widen that wound and rob her of flight!

Under the blast the crack spread; the horn began to craze.

Zzzzzzz—!!!

Gorgon poured in more power, roaring silently.

At last the horn snapped.

Whrrr—!!!

Seeing it, Gorgon halted, purple light wreathing her as she smiled gently. "Thank you for the flowers."

She closed her eyes and dissolved into violet radiance.

High above, Fujimaru sensed it and closed her own eyes, fists clenched.

At Chaldea the monitors tracked Tiamat's state.

Dr. Roman shouted, "Even grounded, she'll march on Uruk while the black mud keeps flowing!"

In Uruk, Wise King Gilgamesh appeared, admiration in his voice: "Those detestable goddesses wrought the greatest result possible."

"A capable goddess does exist," he laughed, delighted.

Ishtar, his hoped-for ace, had somehow lost the Bull of Heaven.

He had courted her solely for that trump card; its loss nearly stopped his heart.

Yet now, watching the distant mud, he said calmly, "Next…"

Type-Moon/Fate World.

"Hahahahahaha!!!"

Gilgamesh stood on a lamppost, laughing at the screen. "As expected, the King arrives last!"

He stamped so hard in glee that the lamppost snapped.

"..."

Emiya Shirou looked up, exasperated. "Even for a king, you can't go wrecking public property."

"And why can't you just jump down and watch the video?!"

Hearing Emiya Shirou's words, Gilgamesh let out a cold snort and declared haughtily, "This king is meant to be looked up to. Standing on the same earth as you lot is an insult to me."

Emiya Shirou's face was speechless. Watching Wise King Gilgamesh in the video and the Gilgamesh not far away, he increasingly felt the two couldn't be the same person.

Honestly, their personalities were worlds apart.

"So what are you going to do about Tiamat next?" Tohsaka Rin looked at Tiamat on the screen and quipped, "Sure, you're strong—top-tier among Servants."

"But no matter how strong you are, you can't beat those two goddesses, right? They looked incredibly powerful."

Gilgamesh was stumped by Tohsaka Rin's question; in truth, he had no idea what to do.

The reason was simple: the situation was already hopeless. No trump card, no plan, could stop Tiamat now.

Besides, those two goddesses really were mighty. Both Quetzalcoatl and Gorgon had dealt Tiamat effective damage.

Yet Gilgamesh wasn't one to admit defeat easily. Since he'd already boasted, he naturally folded his arms and snorted, "Just watch. I've given my plan. When the time comes and the underworld reaches beneath Uruk—"

"—once we get Tiamat to fall into the underworld, everything will become simple."

Shirou watched the video, rather helpless. "But there doesn't seem to be enough time. That underworld goddess who looks a lot like Tohsaka said we still need quite a while to move the underworld under Uruk."

"It'll still take time to transfer the underworld beneath Uruk."

At this point Shirou really wanted to complain: Tohsaka resembled the goddess Ishtar, fine.

But she also looked just like that underworld goddess—basically a palette swap.

"You'll see. This king will definitely find a way." Gilgamesh didn't want to explain; he had no answer to Shirou's question.

So he told the other party to just watch.
