Chapter 1 - Death, Rebirth, and a Forbidden System

LThe truck hit him before he even saw it coming.

One moment Leon was crossing the street after another lonely shift at the convenience store, earbuds in, thinking about nothing in particular. The next moment there was a flash of headlights, a dull impact, and then, nothing. No pain. No dramatic life flashing before his eyes. Just a quick, pathetic end to a quiet, unremarkable existence.

At twenty-six years old heever kissed a woman. Never held hands with anyone who wasn't family. A virgin in every sense of the word, not by choice but by a combination of crippling social anxiety and a complete inability to read the room. He'd spent his evenings watching other people live their lives through screens, wondering what it felt like to be wanted, to be desired, to matter to someone.

And now he was dead.

Or at least, he should have been.

Instead, Leon opened his eyes to find himself staring up at an unfamiliar wooden ceiling. His body felt wrong, lighter, younger, different. He sat up slowly, looking down at hands that weren't quite his own. Smaller, smoother, belonging to someone who'd never spent years slouched over a register or a computer.

The room around him was sparse and medieval. Stone walls. A single narrow window letting in pale morning light. A rough wool blanket. Everything smelled of wood smoke and something earthy he couldn't quite place.

"What the hell?" His voice came out higher, younger. Panic spiked through him.

Before he could process what was happening, words appeared in his vision. Not on a screen or a wall, but floating directly in front of his eyes, glowing faintly blue.

[SYSTEM INITIALIZATION COMPLETE]

[Welcome, Reincarnated One]

[You have been granted: MILF Hunter System]

Leon blinked. The words remained, hovering impossibly in the air. He waved his hand through them but they didn't move.

"Is this... some kind of joke?"

[This is not a joke. You died in your previous world. You have been reborn in the Kingdom of Asterfall with a singular purpose: to seduce, conquer, and bind mature women of power to your will.]

[Current Status:]

Name: Leon Virel

Age: 18

Class: MILF Hunter (Unique/Forbidden)

Level: 1

Bonded Women: 0

Seduction Points: 0

Current Quest: Survive your first day.

Leon stared at the floating text, his mind struggling to catch up. Reincarnation. A fantasy world. And apparently, some kind of perverted game system designed around seducing older women.

"This has to be a dream," he muttered, but even as he said it, he knew it wasn't. Everything felt too real. The rough texture of the blanket under his fingers. The cool morning air. The faint ache in his muscles from sleeping on what was clearly a terrible mattress.

He stood up, legs shaky, and walked to the small mirror propped against the wall. The face staring back at him was younger than he remembered, lean, dark-haired, with sharp features that were handsome in an unfinished way. Not the face of a convenience store clerk who'd given up on life. The face of someone who still had a chance.

[Physical Status: Adequate. Charisma: Below Average. Combat Ability: Negligible.]

[Recommendation: Begin training immediately. Mature women of quality will not be swayed by weakness.]

"Mature women of quality," Leon repeated slowly. "You mean... MILFs."

[Correct. Your targets are experienced, powerful women, widows, adventurers, priestesses, nobles. Women who have lived, who have tasted power and loss. Women who will not fall for childish charm or empty promises.]

[To conquer them, you must grow stronger. Not just in body, but in mind and presence.]

Leon sank back down onto the bed, trying to process everything. In his old life, he couldn't even make eye contact with women his own age, let alone confident, experienced ones. And now this system expected him to seduce queens and war widows?

"This is insane. I can't do this."

[You can. The system will guide you. Each successful bond will make you stronger. Each conquered woman will amplify your abilities. What you lacked in your previous life, confidence, charisma, presence, can all be developed here.]

[But you must take the first step.]

A new line of text appeared.

[Quest Available: First Impression]

[Objective: Leave your dwelling and interact with the town. Observe potential targets. Do not embarrass yourself.]

[Reward: 10 Seduction Points, Basic Charisma Boost]

[Failure Penalty: Public humiliation, -5 Charisma]

Leon took a deep breath. He wasn't the same person anymore. Different body. Different world. Maybe, just maybe, he could be different too.

He stood up, found a simple set of clothes folded on a chair, rough linen shirt, worn trousers, leather boots, and dressed himself. When he opened the door and stepped outside, he found himself in a small medieval town. Cobblestone streets. Market stalls. People in fantasy-novel clothing going about their morning routines.

And the women. Gods, the women.

Even just walking down the street, he saw them everywhere. Not girls, but women. A blacksmith's wife with strong arms and a confident posture. A merchant with sharp eyes and a knowing smile. An adventurer in worn leather armor, scars visible on her tanned skin, talking with younger guild members who clearly respected her.

Every single one of them radiated a presence he'd never encountered in his old life. Experience. Confidence. Power.

His heart hammered in his chest. These weren't the kind of women who'd ever looked at him twice before. These were the kind who'd seen through his awkwardness instantly, who'd dismissed him without a second thought.

[Analysis: Multiple potential targets detected. Recommend beginning with lower-difficulty conquest to build confidence.]

[Suggested First Target: The Innkeeper's Widow, Mira Castell, Age 34]

[Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆]

[Profile: Recently widowed. Lonely. Financially struggling. Emotionally vulnerable but still proud. Would respond well to genuine attention and competent assistance.]

Leon's eyes were drawn to a two-story building with a weathered sign reading "The Crescent Moon Inn." Through the open door, he could see a woman wiping down tables, dark hair pulled back, curves that her simple dress couldn't hide, a tired but still beautiful face.

She glanced up, and for just a moment, their eyes met.

[Target Awareness: Minimal. She has noticed you but assigned no significance.]

[Current Bond Level: 0 - Stranger]

[Recommended Approach: Offer assistance. Demonstrate value without appearing desperate.]

Leon's old instincts screamed at him to look away, to avoid the interaction entirely. But he wasn't that person anymore. He couldn't afford to be.

Taking a breath, he walked toward the inn, every step feeling like a small victory against a lifetime of cowardice.

This was his second chance. His new life. And apparently, his bizarre destiny.

Time to find out if he could actually do this.
