"Be honest. Are you trying to back out of our deal, hm?"
Hui Mu blinked, the corners of his mouth lifting to reveal two small fangs.
"Now, now, you're being cruel. I wasn't messing around! I've been on my very best behavior."
He deliberately drew out his words, a glint of cunning in his eyes.
"But... if you're really a fan of these strange little trinkets, I know a place I could take you. They have everything there: things that fly, things that swim, and things that run on land. You can even find legendary forbidden items. I guarantee you'll be dazzled the moment you step through the door."
That did sound rather tempting.
But Chu Jing shook her head without a shred of hesitation.
"Forget it. Just deliver the goods here. You don't need to go anywhere."
"If you don't listen, I'll take back that pearl."
As she spoke, her gaze suddenly turned cold, fixed on Hui Mu.
"Don't forget, if I could get it once, I can get it again."
