Claire Sinclair walked to the sofa and sat down. Theo Rhodes sat across from her and got straight to the point. "I've been here for days and haven't seen any sign of Hanson. I suspect he's been taken to The Inferno. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been missing for this long."
Claire Sinclair couldn't help but ask, "What exactly is The Inferno?"
"A slaughterhouse. A prison."
"..."
A few gruesome images flashed through Claire Sinclair's mind, and her heart leaped into her throat. "Teacher Hartwell isn't in trouble, is he?"
"My original plan was to wait for the city gates to open, then go back and get reinforcements. I can't get to The Inferno on my own. Besides, if I get caught, no one will be able to get this intel out. This place has to be cleaned out. Otherwise, this tumor will just keep growing and poison more people."
