Ashley Bowen knocked as softly as she could, but the sound still broke the silence.
"Come in." The voice from inside sounded somewhat impatient.
Ashley Bowen pushed open the door and playfully stuck out her tongue. She saw Yuri Sinclair sitting at his desk, rubbing his head as if wrestling with a difficult problem.
"Um... Your Highness, I made you some pastries. Are you hungry?" Ashley Bowen brought the dish over, smiling cheekily at Yuri Sinclair.
Yuri Sinclair glanced at the oddly-shaped pastries, then looked away. "It's a rule in the Sinclair family that we don't eat anything after dinner. Ryan Osborne told you that, didn't he?"
The mention of Ryan Osborne seemed to make him reconsider. Yuri Sinclair turned back, picked up the fork and knife from the plate, and put a small piece of the pastry into his mouth.
Ashley Bowen watched his thin, sexy lips move as he chewed. Only after his Adam's apple bobbed did she ask expectantly, "So? How is it? Is it good?"
