A few moments later, Mika Summers emerged from the room on the left.
As soon as she stepped out, she saw Tristan standing there, seemingly lost in thought.
She kept her head down, trying to slip past him unnoticed.
But she hadn't taken two steps past him before he yanked her back.
"What in the world did you say to Tiana!" Tristan demanded through clenched teeth.
His words made her head snap up.
But after one look at his frigid glare, so cold it could freeze a person solid, she flinched and quickly lowered her head again. She shook it, a pang of guilt hitting her. "I didn't say anything..." 'Even if I did say something, they were just white lies.'
But she only dared to say that to herself.
She didn't dare say it out loud, afraid it would only anger Tristan more.
"Really? Are you saying you didn't tell everyone what happened last night?"
"What happened last night?" At the mention of it, Mika's expression darkened.
