Aiden Shaw pulled his gaze away from Laura, then turned to Raina Lynn with a sharp look. "Please leave at once. I need to call in the next patient."
Raina Lynn shot Laura Lowell a venomous glare before grabbing her bag and storming out on her high heels.

Laura Lowell had now sheathed her claws, looking just like a child who had done something wrong, waiting to be reprimanded by a parent.
"Hmm... Austin Thorne, is he your ex-boyfriend?"
Laura Lowell hadn't expected him to ask that, but she didn't shy away from the question. "He's a blind date my parents set me up with."
"Do you like him?"
"I wouldn't say I like him. It's just that if I refuse, my parents will definitely find someone else for me. It's a hassle to keep going on blind dates."
Aiden Shaw rested his hands on the desk, his long, slender fingers casually intertwined. A nearly imperceptible smile flitted across his coolly handsome face.
