Seth Quinn dragged her into the bathroom again for a cold shower.
This went on back and forth several times. By the end, not only was Clara Grant sneezing uncontrollably, but Seth Quinn was also utterly exhausted.
When Clara Grant clung to him again, he finally couldn't take it anymore and growled, "Clara Grant, if you keep this up, do you believe I'll actually devour you?"
But that was all talk. How could he possibly give her such a golden opportunity—an excuse to keep clinging to him?
So after his outburst, he lifted a hand and, before Clara Grant could react, brought it down in a sharp chop to the back of her neck.
Instantly, Clara Grant's body went limp, and she collapsed onto the bed, out cold.
And just like that, the world fell silent.
