CHAPTER 2.
I was tasked with arranging the plates in order and serving refreshments at the ceremony as well , for the last two years I had scanned everywhere in the alpha pack house and I was positive I could escape .
As I served guest drinks ,I saw the ceremony about begin so I was about to run out and start my mission impossible , when a growl cut me short
"MATE"
For some reason I felt everyone gaze on me but my back was still facing them ,but I knew what had happened , although I couldn't feel the mate bond ,I knew who had said that ,it was Carter.
Slowly I turned my head to meet the stares of everyone , some were laughing ,some were snickering , the servants all gathered to see their future alpha's luna, while some just couldn't shut their mouth.
"Hmph" I heard Carter huff out " what a disgrace" the whole room was filled with murmuring , Carter looked at me with disdain as he spoke up loudly the next line sent a shockwave of pain into me .
" I , Carter Albert , rejects , Elian Tyler and terminate our mate bond "he said while looking directly into my eyes as he said the words.
With my breath shaking , pain coursing thorough me , I stood up straight and responded with the same voice he had used earlier " I Elian Tyler , accepts your rejection" I watched as a red rope came out of two of us and broke to pieces and gradually turned to dust .
I bowed my head and left ,once I entered my room I spat out mouthfuls of blood , the pain wouldn't affect him much because he had a wolf , my parents were dead , my pack turned against me , I had no wolf , and no mate , I couldn't stay here any longer , I only had my life and I needed to protect it.
I packed the two brown clothes I had and from under the stone bed ,I brought out a red and golden gown , one that my mom had given me ,when I was fifteen ,the dress was too big then , but it should fit me quite right now. Putting the clothes into a sack bag and a few gold coins in and opened the door as expected everywhere was empty , music and laughter sounded from the ball room , I made my way down the stairs to the kitchen ,
' * sigh* ' it was empty as well the back door was closed ,bringing out the keys I had taken from Mabel , I opened the door , that made a loud creaking sound, ' why don't we grease this thing ?' .shadowy figures appeared soon as I sprinted like hell out , there was a barrier that mark the packs territory and the other pack which was ... I couldn't remember but if I went back it would been instant death , so I decided to take the chance and run.
