Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1 — The Boy Who Calculates Silence

Night hung over Bluefall District, a city of neon lights and broken promises.

Rain tapped against rooftops like fingers playing a slow, calculated rhythm.

In a narrow alley lit by flickering blue signs, a boy stood alone — still, calm, watching.

His name was Loki.

Not a hero.

Not a villain.

Just a mind sharper than the world around him.

He rested a hand on the hilt of his obsidian blade, Silent Edge, though it wasn't drawn.

He didn't need to draw it.

Not yet.

Three figures approached from the darkness — Black Wolf gang scouts, loud boots splashing through puddles.

"Oi! Kid!"

"You lost?"

"Heh, look at him. Doesn't even blink."

Loki didn't move.

Didn't react.

Didn't speak.

His calm irritated them instantly — calm always scares the loud.

The tallest stepped closer, cracking his knuckles.

"You deaf, boy?"

Loki raised his eyes.

Cold. Sharp.

A deep blue glow flickered inside them for a moment.

He wasn't scared.

He was calculating.

The first scout lunged.

To him, it was fast.

To Loki, it was slow — painfully slow.

His mind split the scene like a chessboard.

Three threats.

One charging straight.

One flanking left.

One reaching for a gun.

Probabilities aligned in his head, clean and silent.

Predict… counter… terminate the action.

Loki vanished.

Not with power.

Not with speed.

With precision.

A single step — Lightning Step — placed him behind the first scout.

The man stumbled forward, confused, turning—

Too late.

Loki tapped his neck with the flat of his blade.

A perfect nerve disable.

The scout dropped.

The second swung a pipe.

Loki tilted his head slightly.

The swing passed harmlessly through the spot where he was.

A pressure on the attacker's wrist —

a twist —

and the pipe clattered to the ground.

The third never got the gun out.

Silent Edge rested just under his chin, still sheathed.

Loki whispered his first words of the night:

"Leave."

They ran.

Loki slid Silent Edge back into place, rain dripping from his hood.

But he wasn't alone anymore.

Another presence watched from above —

silent, powerful, and curious.

Someone who knew Loki's name.

Someone who whispered into the rain:

"So… the Silent Calculus has finally awakened."
