Chapter 15 - Chapter 6: Collision Course

Chapter 6: Collision Course

The rain turns streets into mirrors of fire and steel. Neon signs flicker against puddles as Nocturne's skyline hums with surveillance drones and distant sirens.

Kael Voss moves like a shadow across rooftops, Iris Han close behind, tablet in hand. Every step, every breath is calculated. Viktor Hale is out there—hunting him.

And Kael knows this won't be a simple fight.

THE HUNT INTENSIFIES

Viktor drops from a rooftop, silent and precise. Rain glistens on his tactical armor.

"You can't hide forever, Wraith," Viktor says, voice cold, almost robotic.

Kael doesn't respond. He leaps between buildings, using shadows to disappear. Viktor follows, tracing every sound, every flicker.

Iris mutters, her fingers flying over the terminal:

"He's predicting you… almost like he knows your moves before you make them."

Kael doesn't flinch. He only thinks: Then I'll make him guess wrong.

ROOFTOP CHAOS

The fight begins above a neon-lit alley.

Viktor strikes first—rapid punches, knife swipes, enhanced reflexes.

Kael counters, ducking, twisting, using elbows and knees to disable joints.

Sparks fly as a loose antenna shatters under a heavy kick.

They leap between buildings. Roof to roof. Metal slides underfoot. Rain makes every landing a gamble.

Iris guides Kael remotely, shutting down cameras, disabling drone patrols, creating blind spots.

Kael pauses mid-jump. Viktor lands beside him.

"This ends tonight," Viktor hisses.

Kael smirks behind the mask:

"Not for me. For the city."

SUBWAY BATTLE

The fight spills into the abandoned subway tunnels. Dim lights flicker. Rats scatter. Tracks hum like the city's heartbeat.

Viktor lunges. Kael spins, taking him down with a brutal elbow. Sparks from the train tracks flash.

Gunfire echoes. Kael rolls, takes cover behind a column. Viktor uses enhanced cybernetic vision to track his silhouette.

Iris hacks the subway signals, stopping trains, cutting off escape routes, giving Kael leverage.

The two men collide again, knives clashing, each strike precise and deadly. Viktor gains a slight edge, disarming Kael.

But Kael anticipates the counterattack. With a spinning kick, he knocks Viktor into the tunnel wall, sending sparks flying.

THE CITY'S ECHO

Above, Nocturne quakes. Explosions, sirens, neon lights—the city reacts like a living entity. Every rooftop, every alley, every street is a chessboard.

Kael and Viktor are pieces moving across it.

Breathing heavy, both men pause. Rain drips into the tunnel.

Viktor smirks.

"You're persistent."

Kael narrows his eyes.

"I don't quit."

They charge. The fight continues—relentless, cinematic, manhwa-style, high-contrast shadows and neon reflections.

ENDING NOTE

Somewhere above, a drone feeds Mara Kade the live footage.

"Interesting," she murmurs. "The ghost isn't alone… and the predator isn't invincible."

Kael and Viktor disappear into the labyrinthine subway system.

Nocturne waits. Silent. Deadly. Watching.

The collision course is just beginning.
