Chapter 31 - Chapter 31: Uchiha Jin: No matter what Shisui chooses, he can't escape my calculations!

Uchiha Jin's face was full of mockery, disdaining to hide anything from the other party.

Just as he said, he was good at breaking situations with overt schemes, and even if he explicitly told Shisui, Shisui would most likely follow the old path.

Because old habits die hard, many things are difficult to change.

Of course.

If Shisui could truly understand, then it would also be a good thing for him. In any case, he wouldn't lose out!

"Impossible!"

"Hokage-sama is just a kind old man; he would never do such a thing."

"Uchiha Jin, you won't succeed!"

Shisui shook his head, his eyes firm.

He would not be swayed by Uchiha Jin. Even though scenes of his past meetings with the Hokage kept flashing in his mind, he chose to stand firm in his belief that only the Hokage could help the Uchiha integrate into Konoha.

As for the others, they sighed.

Although their minds were stubborn, they could still distinguish between good and bad.

When Uchiha Jin lacked strength, everyone naturally couldn't calm down to listen to him. Now that Uchiha Jin's strength was sufficient, they were, of course, willing to listen attentively.

But, unfortunately.

Shisui, who could awaken the Mangekyo, proved that he was more extreme than everyone else. Such a person could not be easily persuaded.

Otherwise.

He wouldn't have been extreme enough to awaken the Mangekyo!

Understanding this, they didn't try to persuade him, but merely smiled bitterly and sighed, looking at Shisui with sorrow.

Meanwhile, on the other side.

Uchiha Jin's expression remained calm despite Shisui's roar.

"Shisui, do you know what an overt scheme is?"

"It means that no matter what choice you make, it won't affect my specific plan."

"If you suspect Hiruzen Sarutobi, then it's a good thing for me and for the Uchiha, as the Uchiha will have one more master to guard them."

"Even if you still choose to trust Hiruzen Sarutobi, it won't have any impact on my plan."

"Overt schemes are different from covert schemes; they cannot be broken!"

Shisui was stunned.

Everyone else looked at Uchiha Jin as if marveling at a flowing mountain stream, their hearts filled with emotion. Uchiha Jin's planning ability was simply too exaggerated.

Even if he told you explicitly, you couldn't change it and could only follow his plan!

Finally.

Shisui sighed helplessly, then left the small courtyard directly.

And, regarding this.

Uchiha Jin did not stop him, merely watched Shisui leave indifferently, then spoke to the people present: "Fugaku choosing to delegate power is also a good thing. Let's proceed with the plan as scheduled."

Upon hearing this, everyone was puzzled.

Their minds were a bit slow to react for a moment, and finally, Uchiha Setsuna spoke: "Execute the plan formulated at the beginning? Or the one you told Shisui?"

"Jin, were you deceiving Shisui with what you told him?" Uchiha Hatchodai also asked, full of doubt.

Uchiha Jin was somewhat taken aback.

He subconsciously glanced at everyone, and only after seeing their confusion did he sigh helplessly.

Good heavens!

The Uchiha's minds truly were simple.

He rubbed his temples helplessly but still explained.

"Both plans need to be executed!"

"I had no intention of deceiving Shisui. Although it was all my deduction, and I have no evidence, I truly believe the Konoha Leadership wants to kill him."

"I am indeed preparing to use Shisui's death to scheme against the Konoha Leadership."

"This doesn't affect the plan we formulated earlier. After all, I explicitly stated that I would never trick Shisui; I just didn't promise to tell him all the plans."

Uh.

Hearing Uchiha Jin's explanation, everyone's faces turned dark.

While that's true, isn't this misleading Shisui?

However... if they really thought about it carefully, it seemed Uchiha Jin was right. After all, they weren't really on the same side, and the plan he told them was indeed true; he just hadn't told them the whole plan.

So, alas!

Everyone looked at Uchiha Jin with incredibly complex expressions, but at the same time, they felt very reassured.

Having such a leader was also a good thing for the Uchiha.

At the very least.

It wouldn't be easy for Konoha to scheme against Uchiha Jin!

...Meanwhile, on the other side.

After Shisui left Jin's small courtyard, his eyes were filled with confusion.

At this moment, his heart was truly in turmoil.

He knew he shouldn't believe Uchiha Jin's instigation, but at the same time, though Shisui was foolishly loyal, he wasn't stupid. Sometimes lies don't hurt people; the truth is the sharpest blade!

As someone who earned the moniker 'Shisui of the Body Flicker' on the battlefield, even if his planning and strategizing abilities weren't as good as others, he at least had the basic ability to read people's expressions.

Therefore.

Thinking back to when he informed the Hokage about his Mangekyo ability, Hiruzen Sarutobi indeed, as Uchiha Jin said, never met with him privately again. Every time he saw Hiruzen Sarutobi, the latter was accompanied by at least two Anbu members.

Especially Hiruzen Sarutobi's gaze; he had never met Shisui's eyes since then.

He hadn't thought much of it before, but now that Uchiha Jin had pointed it out, it was false to say he had no misgivings.

Even though he understood Hiruzen Sarutobi's actions, this feeling of betrayal was truly unpleasant, especially since he had trusted Hiruzen Sarutobi so much.

"Did you hear? Elder Jin's speech!"

"It's all over the place. I just didn't expect Hiruzen Sarutobi to be so ruthless!"

"The Hokage looks so kind-hearted; I never thought he could do such things."

"Do you think Elder Jin might be overthinking this?"

"Although Elder Jin didn't provide any evidence, sometimes too many coincidences stop being coincidences."

"That's true. Let's be careful from now on."

"…"

Listening to the dense discussions around him, Shisui suddenly had a bad feeling.

What's going on?

What is everyone talking about?

It seems—it concerns the Hokage?

Shisui's eyes immediately became serious. Although he had some reservations about Hiruzen Sarutobi, he still trusted the Village and the Hokage more in his heart.

He didn't go forward to ask directly but hid in a small alley, used the Transformation Jutsu, and then walked out again.

Then.

He directly joined the chatting crowd and learned about Uchiha Jin's previous statements.

His scalp tingled!

From the mysterious deaths of Senju Nawaki and Kato Dan, to the annihilation of the Uzumaki Clan and the Senju Clan, as well as the successive departures and defections of the Sannin, then to Sakumo Hatake's forced suicide, and finally to Minato Namikaze's death... one event after another.

This left him with mixed feelings, because many things were indeed difficult to explain. The mere leak of Sakumo Hatake's mission could not be explained from any angle.

The most confidential S-rank mission was leaked, and it spread throughout Konoha within a day, yet the Anbu didn't even investigate it?

This simply didn't make sense!

Although he didn't know much about the other incidents, he also knew that one or two things could be coincidences, but could many things still be explained by coincidence?

Hokage-sama... should I trust you?
