Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Another Clan Meeting, Uchiha Jin Tears Off the Mask!

A clan meeting, another clan meeting!

Uchiha Jin's mouth twitched. He couldn't help but slap his forehead, speechless at Fugaku, the Clan Head.

Any sensible person knows that minor issues require large meetings, while major issues require small meetings—or even no meeting at all!

Because ordinary people lack the ability to solve problems; instead, they are easily swayed by others, led by the nose, and the risk of information being leaked to spies is higher.

Therefore, the execution power of ordinary clansmen is sufficient. When truly discussing strategy, the fewer people, the better, ensuring that attendees have prestige, can command the middle and lower ranks, and possess problem-solving ability.

But now?

Fugaku calls meetings constantly, yet solves no problems whatsoever. He utterly lacks the decisiveness a Clan Head should possess, and he doesn't even seem to know how to take action.

For a clan, this only leads to a hopeless situation!

"That Fugaku is truly useless!"

"It must be about the missing clansmen and the Village rumors."

"He can't even handle such minor matters. Can't he use his brain?"

"Calling meetings at the drop of a hat—he must be insane!"

Uchiha Setsuna frowned tightly and couldn't help but curse loudly.

Previously, he hadn't seen any issue with constantly holding clan meetings, but following his interaction with Uchiha Jin, he increasingly felt that clan meetings were inefficient and utterly useless besides wasting time.

Looking back at the few actions Uchiha Jin initiated since joining the Radical Faction, they basically never involved any meeting or discussion; he just gave orders to a few people, and they executed them.

Secretive, highly efficient, and flawless!

More importantly, the results were remarkable.

In contrast, he had attended clan meetings his entire life, yet had never accomplished anything through them.

"Enough, stop complaining!"

"In any case, we're idle anyway. Fugaku is the Clan Head, after all. As long as it doesn't involve matters of principle, giving him some face won't hurt."

"Tekka, go find five Radical Faction Elite Jonin to show support. Everyone else must strictly carry out patrol duties during this time. The open and hidden sentries must closely monitor the compound, ensuring Root has no opportunity whatsoever."

"Elder Setsuna, let's go."

Uchiha Jin stood up and walked straight out.

Setsuna naturally followed closely, setting an example to affirm Jin's position as the leader of the Radical Faction.

Ten minutes later.

Uchiha Jin and Setsuna led the way, followed by Tekka and the unnamed Elite Jonin, arriving at the Naka Shrine.

The crowd present all frowned at the arrival of the group.

However, unlike last time, many low-ranking Uchiha clansmen looked at the Radical Faction with complex, thoughtful expressions.

Clearly.

Many recent events within the clan seemed to be proving Uchiha Jin correct.

The Uchiha are stubborn and single-minded, but they are not true fools. With a comparison available, they naturally sensed something, but due to their past trust in the elders of various factions, they were temporarily unable to defect to the Radical Faction.

"Elder Jin, Elder Setsuna!"

"Why did so few of you from the Radical Faction come? Why aren't the other Uchiha members attending the clan meeting?"

"This is somewhat against the rules, isn't it?"

Fugaku sat high in the main seat, his face full of dignity.

If one didn't know his personality, they might actually be intimidated upon first meeting him.

At the very least.

His appearance truly had the bearing of a Clan Head.

But unfortunately, like a silver spear with a wax head, Fugaku was typically all show and no substance.

After the group sat in their seats, Uchiha Jin straightened his robes, then slowly opened his mouth with a smile: "The others need to prevent the compound from being invaded, so naturally, they couldn't attend the clan meeting."

Hearing this, Fugaku's face darkened.

Wasn't this clearly mocking him?

But before he could speak, Shisui spoke first: "Lord Jin, you should trust the Clan Head and Hokage-sama. The actions of your Radical Faction are excessive; it clearly shows a lack of trust in the Clan Head and Hokage-sama."

"This behavior is wrong, and I hope the Radical Faction removes its defenses!"

And in response to this.

Uchiha Jin didn't even lift his eyelids, immediately retorting with one sentence: "I don't trust the Clan Head and Hiruzen Sarutobi!"

"You..." Shisui was stunned.

Fugaku was the Clan Head, and Hiruzen Sarutobi was the Hokage. Wasn't that far too disrespectful?

This bluntness left his mind blank.

After all, no matter what you thought internally, shouldn't there be outward respect?

However, unfortunately.

Uchiha Jin couldn't be bothered to pay attention to him, speaking indifferently again: "Quite a few people have died in the compound recently, and they were all Uchiha with the Three-Tomoe Sharingan, correct?"

"I remember reminding all of you at the last clan meeting. I didn't expect you fools would actually dare to gamble the lives of your subordinates on the integrity of Fugaku and Hiruzen Sarutobi."

"You are impressive. I admire you!"

"Fugaku's indecisiveness isn't a recent thing. During the war, the Uchiha earned battle merits, yet when they died, they couldn't even enter the Village Memorial Stone. The villagers don't even know the Uchiha fought desperately for the Village?"

"The Nine-Tailed Fox's Attack, the loss of the Ancestral Land, Anbu surveillance..."

"One incident after another—you truly lack common sense!"

"But, forget it!"

"Good words cannot persuade a person determined to die. If you seek your own demise, then I won't bother managing you."

"But, similarly."

"The Radical Faction does not recognize Fugaku as the Clan Head. I, Uchiha Jin, am laying my cards on the table: I must be responsible for the lives of the Radical Faction clansmen."

"So, stop the nonsense!"

"Let's get straight to the point. I have things to do when I go back."

Uchiha Jin was extremely direct.

At the last clan meeting, he was still willing to address Fugaku as the Clan Head because his position was newly established and unstable. However, with the successive disappearances of Uchiha members during this period, while the Radical Faction suffered no losses, this had already proven his capability.

His prestige had been built up, so naturally, he had no need to worry about Fugaku!

And that was the truth.

Even though Uchiha Jin was extremely rude at this moment, the entire Naka Shrine was silent. None of the Uchiha clansmen spoke up to stop him, and even the elders of the Moderate Faction remained silent.

The reason was simple!

Incident after incident during this time had demonstrated Fugaku's unsuitability as Clan Head. Even if they couldn't accept Uchiha Jin's radicalism, it didn't mean they had to give Fugaku face!

They had long since had enough of this incompetent Clan Head.

Fugaku: "..."

Looking at the silent Naka Shrine, his expression immediately became volatile.

A fierce light flickered in his eyes, and specifically when he looked at Uchiha Jin, a hint of killing intent was revealed.

He was furious!

He believed that for the stability of the Uchiha, he had humbled himself and endured grievances outside, and within the clan, he had done everything possible to appease those who misunderstood him.

What was all this for?

Wasn't it to balance the Village and the clan as much as possible? Wasn't it all to ensure the Uchiha could survive?

His goal was very clear: to integrate into Konoha!

But, damn it.

Why didn't these bastards in front of him understand?
