The mansion was quiet again, but the tension lingered like a shadow across every hallway. I couldn't shake the feeling that someone—or something—was watching me.
As I wandered through the old library, my eyes caught the edge of a stone wall that seemed slightly ajar. Curious, I pressed my hand against it, and to my surprise, the wall shifted with a faint creak, revealing a narrow hidden passage.
I froze, heart pounding. Could this be another secret Ethan had been keeping?
"Zyra…" Ethan's voice startled me from behind. He stepped closer, his expression serious. "This passage leads to a part of the mansion no one should enter."
"I have to see it," I whispered, unable to resist the pull of curiosity. "I need to know what's really happening here."
Ethan hesitated but finally nodded. "Stay close. This could be dangerous."
We stepped inside together. The air was damp and musty, the flickering torchlight casting long shadows along the stone walls. Every step echoed as if the mansion itself was alive, watching our every move.
And then, at the end of the passage, a heavy wooden door appeared, covered in strange symbols. My breath caught. Whatever lies beyond that door… it will change everything.
