Chapter 53 - Chapter 53 :"A Greeting from Aegon"

Aegon left riding Sunfyre, and Daeron returned to the Stepstones shortly after.

Tessarion landed, kicking up a cloud of dust.

"Where is my brother? I have good news to tell him," Daeron said to Alec.

Alec glanced at Daeron with some surprise.

"Your Highness has gone to Tyrosh Island. Do you have any instructions?" Alec asked respectfully.

"Nothing much, just that the support fleet is arriving, less than a hundred miles away."

A look of pleasant surprise appeared on Alec's face.

"Is it the Lannister Family or the Hightower Family?"

Bloodstone Isle was desperately short of manpower; soldiers and sailors combined totaled just over four thousand.

Even if the soldiers were willing to move their entire families to Bloodstone Isle, it would take about two months.

"A combined fleet, mostly ships from the Hightower Family. Besides them, there are also the Redwyne Family, the Peake Family..."

"Most are nobles from the Reach. I took a quick look, at least fifty cargo ships," Daeron said, extending a hand.

"At least fifty?" Alec was ecstatic. "That's great! I can finally catch my breath!"

Alec had been under immense pressure recently. Aegon always just gave orders and didn't care how Alec carried them out.

Building warehouses needed manpower, building ports needed manpower, patrolling the surrounding seas also needed manpower. With just over four thousand people, Alec wished he could split himself in two!

Furthermore, Aegon was titled Duke of the Stepstones, so he needed to build a decent castle, right?

But now, let alone a stone castle, they didn't even have a proper house to live in. What kind of situation was it, living in tents all the time?

Clouds churned, and Sunfyre burst through them, its golden scales gleaming brilliantly in the sunlight.

"Faster, Sunfyre."

"Hiss-roar!" Sunfyre roared and began to accelerate.

Sunfyre flew at full speed, and Aegon soon saw the outline of Tyrosh Island.

Before searching for the Rebel Army, Aegon flew Sunfyre directly towards Tyrosh.

Although searching for the Rebel Army was the main objective, it didn't prevent Aegon from annoying Tyrosh along the way.

After all, since he was already here, it was only natural to greet the Tyroshi he had "not seen for a long time and missed dearly."

Meanwhile.

Inside the underground chamber, Nekania suddenly widened his eyes.

He faintly heard the roar of a dragon!

"Here again!" Nekania's face darkened.

Sunfyre didn't even dive; it flew just a dozen meters above the ground, spewing dragonfire and blasting anyone in sight!

Bang, bang, bang—

A series of thuds.

Over a dozen meter-long crossbow bolts, made of fine iron, shot out from the shadows of the ruins with a piercing whistle!

But Sunfyre and Aegon's minds were linked.

The moment the bolts targeted Sunfyre, Aegon's hair stood on end, and he immediately executed a sharp turn, causing all dozen bolts to miss.

"Cunning beasts, they've learned to ambush!" Aegon cursed.

Although Sunfyre would likely have dodged even without his advance warning, there was still a possibility of being hit.

Without coordinating with ground forces, spewing dragonfire at low altitude was less safe than repeatedly diving.

Aegon no longer hesitated, quickly pulled Sunfyre up, and slowly disappeared from the Tyroshi's sight, leaving behind hundreds of corpses.

Aegon had achieved his goal of "saying hello" and left without hesitation, leaving the Tyroshi grinding their teeth in place!

Following the map of Tyrosh Island in his memory, Aegon quickly arrived near the Lango Highlands.

From high above, the Lango Highlands looked like a squeezed-out plain, backed by the sea, with only one passable road, and steep peaks in all other directions!

And at this time, a large number of slaves were charging along the only passable road.

The slave masters, who had the advantage of the terrain, were commanding the slave soldiers to resist stubbornly.

"Seriously, guys? You're the Rebel Army, and you can't even turn the slave soldiers?" Aegon's eyes widened slightly, feeling a bit speechless.

However, the Rebel Army was smart enough to know they had to attack the Lango Highlands. This proved that the Rebel Army still had value worth supporting.

Aegon adjusted his seating slightly, then flew Sunfyre into a dive, heading straight for the slave army on the high ground!

Too lazy to cause panic, Sunfyre did not let out a roar.

The slave soldiers were still fighting under the command of the slave masters until dragonfire suddenly rained down!

Slave soldiers hit by the dragonfire were burned to charcoal without even feeling a trace of pain.

But those who were only grazed by the dragonfire were much more miserable, left to wail and scream on the ground, unable to extinguish the flames on their bodies no matter what they did.

"Dragon!"

The slave masters were both shocked and enraged; they didn't have dragon bolts!

Aegon also saw no sign of dragon bolts, and Sunfyre began to spew dragonfire at low altitude without restraint.

In just an instant, the line that the slave masters had managed to stabilize was torn open with a large gap.

For Sunfyre, whose size had now surpassed the fifty-meter mark, ordinary arrows were a joke unless they hit its eyes; they couldn't even pierce its wing membranes!

As the line formed by the slave army was torn apart, the Rebel Army, with bloodshot eyes, charged onto the high ground, howling wildly.

Only one thing remained in their minds: kill all these slave masters and their lackeys, and then seize everything the slave masters owned!

The slave army and the Rebel Army began close-quarters combat, but due to the sudden attack of the Dragons, the slave soldiers, whose morale was already low, showed signs of collapse.

Aegon did not press the advantage but instead flew directly to the slave masters' manor, starting to burn the granaries in the manor and the crops in the fields!
