"What is this urgent situation, Ava?" Richard inquired firmly, his eyes were dimmed as he tried to remain his usual self- never wavering in any situation, no matter how bad it was.
The man and Ava were currently in Richard's study where he had ordered her to follow him to. That was where issues were being discussed and decisions getting made.
More so, Richard Donovan, being himself as the esteemed patriarch of the household, would never discuss any important issue before the other members of the house. He was the decision maker.
Even his wife would only get to find out whatever it was if need be, after the decision had been made. Not to mention Rowan, their son.
Ava stood across from him rigidly- her expression was now carefully controlled despite the tension radiating from her.
Richard had settled into the chair behind his desk as they got into the room.
