As they murmured an ancient incantation that neither Mary nor Ryan could understand, a vast circle of light unfurled beneath their feet, its glow spreading like ripples on water. Before Mary could react, the two streams of blood essence streaked through the air and vanished between her brows in the blink of an eye.


By the time Mary realized what they were doing, the contract formation had already taken shape. She could only accept it as the circle of light slowly faded away.


The little fox stared in shock for barely a breath. Then, afraid of being left behind, she hurriedly followed her parents' example, forcing out her own blood essence and forming a contract with Mary as well.
