Ryan instinctively stepped forward, pulling Mary behind him protectively. His eyes were cold and alert. "Sir, since Cleo has already been released, we can consider this matter settled. We'll send you out of the mindscape now. However, you must promise not to harm us again."
The man smiled faintly in response. "Send me out?" His voice was calm, almost amused. "Why should I leave? You were the ones who brought me in."
He set down his teacup leisurely. "This place is practically a small world. The spiritual energy here is abundant beyond imagination. The moment I entered, I absorbed enough energy to transform into a human form. If I can stay here for a few hundred years, ascending and returning to the upper plane won't be impossible."
Mary stepped out from behind Ryan, her expression dark as she almost snarled. "This space belongs to me. Whoever I want to expel will leave. Outside, you nearly killed us. Shouldn't we settle that account first?"
