Chapter 3 - The Lazy Prince - Part 3 - Not a Monster (2)

It was midday. In the barren, sandy field, the spears in the hands of two figures clashed at an invisible speed, creating loud clanging sounds.

Ding! Ding ding ding! Dingg!

"Enough!"

This was said by the barbarian Ordon, with his long beard and massive physique.

After saying this, the burly man opposite him stopped attacking and looked at Ordon as if he hadn't struggled at all. This man was over 2 meters tall and had a broad build. He had short brown hair and a slightly sweet face that didn't match his large body. This person was Shun. His eyes, unlike before, radiated a wild aura that frightened, not calmed, those who saw them!

Almost 8 years had passed since he started training, and Shun was very close to turning 18. Thanks to his training and spear training with his father, his body had grown so rapidly that even he and his father were shocked!

After his body developed, he did some research and was sure that no one his age had such a large physique. Actually, it wasn't just his body that was abnormal; his cognitive abilities were far superior to those of any monster!

His father had told him this. When he asked why, his father said, "Son, do you know how old I am?" "

Probably... 40?"

Ordon smiled slightly upon hearing this and said, "I stopped counting after I turned 1000."

Shun was shocked to hear this, but after a moment, thinking his father was joking, he laughed and asked his real age. But when his father seriously told him that he was indeed over 1000 years old, his brain froze for a moment from shock, and then he bombarded his father with questions.

How did you live so long? Are you immortal?! Can I live that long too??

Ordon answered them all one by one. According to him, he wasn't immortal, but something close. He said I would understand what he meant better later, so I stopped investigating further and waited for my father to speak.

"Hoo." "Do you understand why I call you a monster who surpasses all monsters? I've lived for countless years, and my best skill was my spear! No one has ever been able to defeat me in spear fighting. But you... you only trained with me for 4 years, mastered all my techniques, improved yourself even further, and managed to defeat me! Moreover, you're not only better than me technically, but judging by your strength, you'll soon surpass me in power as well! Does that make sense to you?"

Shun fell silent after these words. According to his father, he was a true genius, and not just any genius! He had surpassed the power his father had gained through thousands of years of training in just 7 years! It didn't make any sense, but what could he do about it? Should he blame his own genius?

After thinking about it a little more, he decided to drop the subject. After all, no matter how much he thought about it, there was nothing he could do about it, right?

Instead, he was thinking about what kind of training he should do in the future. A few years ago, he had surpassed his father in spear fighting. The reason he could clash spears with his father in those few years was because his father was still physically stronger than him. But as time passed, this physical strength difference was decreasing, and he was further improving his spear technique! Therefore, no matter how much he fought his father, he didn't struggle anymore; he had already surpassed him! If he wanted to, he could take down his father in a few moves, but could that be called training?

He also stopped running. Because now, no matter how much weight he carried, he felt nothing! At one point, he loaded a huge rock onto his back and ran like that for a whole day! But even after running for a whole day, he felt neither fatigue nor anything else. That's when he understood... he had lost his humanity.

Ordon noticed that Shun was deep in thought. After a moment of thought, he guessed what his father was thinking, smiled slightly, and began to speak,

"Son, you're now even stronger than me. Unfortunately, you won't find anyone stronger than me in this world!"

Shun couldn't help but be shocked to hear this. What did he mean, "I won't find anyone stronger than you"? He knew his father wasn't an egocentric person... or maybe he was a little egocentric, but at least he couldn't have such arrogance and ego as to present himself as the strongest person in the world, could he?!

"What do you mean?"

"To be honest, my expectation while training you was that by the time you turned 18, you would be 15% as strong as me. But you... anyway."

He said the last words with a slight sigh. After regaining his composure, he looked at Shun seriously.

"Son, the time has come!" "

Hm? Time for what?"

"Hehe, actually, I was planning to train you all this time, but you managed to surpass me in such a short time by breaking all the rules!" "So go travel the world, at least it will broaden your horizons! Maybe you can meet some local martial artists, see their techniques, get inspired and improve yourself."

After hearing these words, Shun couldn't help but think. He was actually tired of doing the same things every day in this barren place. Maybe it was time to see new places! At that moment, he made his decision.

"Okay! I'll travel the world!"

Ordon hadn't expected Shun to decide so quickly. Overcoming his surprise, he spoke,

"When?"

"Right now!"

.......

Shun,He had come home wanting to prepare a few things before setting off on his journey around the world, but his father had seated him at a table when he arrived. Before Shun could understand what was happening, Ordon spoke,

"Son, have you ever wondered who your mother is?"

"No."

"I see. Of course—uh?"

Ordon, surprised by this answer, made a strange sound. To tell the truth, Shun really didn't care who his mother was. Even before starting this training, he was a smart child; when he started school and saw that the other children had mothers but he didn't, he would have asked his father. But he thought there must be a reason and gave up asking, and he hadn't thought about his mother since then.

"Aren't you curious? Not at all? Not even a little bit?!"

"Father!? What are you doing? I said I'm not curious!"

Ordon, still surprised, asked and after receiving his answer, took a deep breath and said,

"Actually, your mother isn't dead or abandoned me. She is currently known as Empress Biu Lester."

"Empress?"

What does Empress mean? Was his mother perhaps the leader of a country like England?

"Haah. You couldn't find that even if you searched right now, but you'll understand what I mean soon." "

You'll understand what I mean soon..." How many times had he heard that phrase before? It was starting to annoy him.

"When then?!"

Ordon smiled slightly,

"Very soon... Very soon. Anyway, go pack some food and a tent, it's time to leave."

Shun, cursing under his breath because his father hadn't answered his question, got up angrily, grabbed a bag from his room, and stuffed some food into it. Ordon had given him a tent.

Shun changed his clothes and, with the bag on his back, was completely ready. Ordon looked at Shun for a while.

"Hehe, you seem ready. Follow me!"

After saying that, Ordon left the house and, after wandering around a bit, started heading towards a wooded area, with Shun following him. They soon stopped at the entrance to the wooded area. Ordon looked at Shun, smiled slightly, and hugged him.

"We won't be seeing each other for a while, son."

Shun was surprised when his father hugged him. But he hugged him back, and they separated shortly afterward. Ordon pointed to the forest and said,

"If you go straight down this path, you'll reach your destination." "

My destination? Wasn't I supposed to go everywhere? Was there really a place I needed to go?" "

Hehe, I've gone this way before. Now it's your turn."

Shun finally understood what his father meant and couldn't help but ask,

"So you're traveling the world too? Is this the first place you've been?"

Ordon nodded slightly. Then, patting Shun on the back, who was still staring at him in surprise, he indicated that they should head towards the forest.

"Come on! The world is waiting for you!"

Shun no longer hesitated and began walking towards the forest. He soon disappeared from sight. He hadn't even looked back!

Ordon watched Shun for a while, then smiled slightly.

"Of course, a new world!"

Shun had already entered the forest and, of course, hadn't heard Ordon's words. The forest was completely dark, as no light reached below due to the tall trees and large leaves!

Shun could barely see where he was going. After walking a short distance, a bright white light enveloped his eyes. "
