They lost count of time, they didn't know just how long they were walking for, continuously descending the endless flight of stairs.
Alan's little wisp of flame did little to help, only lighting up the stairs ahead of them, without providing true vision of where they were.
Honestly, Alan felt uneasy, they were going down, without a real goal in mind, surrounded by complete darkness, even the way they came from was now black.
