Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Sirius

My name is Ian.

Her name is Asta.

She likes dogs, but is too lazy to take care of them.

She likes flowers, but is allergic to pollen.

She likes to eat almost anything, but hates peanuts.

She likes travelling, but she hates going outside of her house.

She likes learning new things, but doesn't like listening to lectures.

She likes the library but doesn't like to study there.

She likes flavorful food but doesn't like too much spices.

....

I remembered her during our time in middle school, her shoulders slouched with her heavy backpack full of borrowed library books while carrying several books with her arms while refusing assistance.

She was short back then and even until now.

I remembered how I was too shy back then to say hi.

I was skinny back then. Too skinny.

I barely eat since my sister and I were barely fed by our parents.

We didn't have much.

Her family belonged to middle class. Not rich but she didn't have to worry about her next meal, or having second helping.

She has light skin complexion even until now, while I was so dark back then because I had to help with the odd jobs my parents did back then.

But even though she was well off, she remained humble. I used to think she looked lonely back then but I was too shy to approach her back then.

She spent her break time at the library.

Wearing round eyeglasses,

Surrounded by books,

Notebooks scattered all over the table,

Engrossed for minutes until the bell rings.

After she's gone, I always check where she puts back the books she doesn't borrow.

She likes reading encyclopedias,

Fantasy novels, Adventure novels,

Basically anything I could think of.

Wait, she doesn't like reading all about sports and biography? I see. So I tried to place books which I knew that she would love exactly where she could find it easily.

She's short after all.

She loves reading about the stars.

I also love reading and learning about astronomy. I hope I can talk to her about that someday.
