Chapter 91: The Irresistible Law of Fragrance

"Oh… so you get seasick, huh."

The corner of Jiang Qize's mouth curled into a grin.

"Call me Brother Ze. I'll take you there," he said, winking at Crocodile.

"Don't even think about it!"

Crocodile roared in anger.

Who was he? A dignified wielder of a Logia-type Devil Fruit, a man who had once gone head-to-head with one of the world's strongest. How could he possibly call someone "brother"? Impossible!

Even if he drowned right here, he would never say it. That was his last shred of pride.

"Then, Pluton…"

"Brother Ze!"

Crocodile lowered his head and muttered softly.

"Hahahaha… all right, let's go."

Jiang Qize burst out laughing.

As expected, the irresistible law of "truth smells sweet" knew no boundaries.

Then he grabbed Crocodile and leapt straight into the water.

Before long, Crocodile's body went limp; his eyes shut tight, his jaw clenched.

Jiang Qize swam forward with him. The water was clear, and thanks to the light filtering in, he could see what lay ahead.

Before long, the space ahead opened up.

Splash! Splash!

Two figures shot up from beneath the surface.

The instant they broke through the water, both froze.

Right before them, in the middle of a massive underground lake, rested a colossal ship. The crystal-clear water shimmered with reflected light.

The giant vessel was covered in moss, but from its hull protruded rows upon rows of enormous cannons. The dark muzzles looked deep enough to swallow a man whole, exuding an eerie chill.

"P–Pluton…"

Crocodile, who moments earlier could barely move, suddenly seemed full of strength. His back straightened, his legs firmed, his eyes blazed with life.

Jiang Qize's breathing grew heavy. He stepped onto shore and dropped Crocodile onto the ground.

"So this is Pluton…"

Light gleamed in his eyes.

The ship before him was unimaginably large—so large he couldn't even see its bow. By his estimate, it was at least a hundred meters long, perhaps even larger.

"Hahaha! Pluton really exists!"

Crocodile clambered to his feet. The man who almost never laughed now let out a wild, exultant roar, eyes burning with fiery zeal.

"Crocodile," Jiang Qize said seriously, "I have to remind you—the World Government won't allow a weapon like Pluton to reappear on the seas. With your current strength, you're nowhere near capable of commanding it.

Of course, if Pluton happens to be broken, that's another matter."

Crocodile's grin faded. He stared solemnly at him. "I know. I'll destroy this city to keep Pluton from being exposed. Five years from now, I'll come find you. We'll fight for real. If I lose, I'll give up Pluton. But if I win—you'll join me!"

"Hahaha! Crocodile, that's quite the clever deal you're making. If you lose, I get nothing. If you win, I have to join you."

Jiang Qize laughed heartily.

"If I lose, I'll join you instead… satisfied now?" Crocodile said helplessly.

This guy really refused to take a single loss.

"Deal."

A smirk tugged at Jiang Qize's lips.

If he couldn't even accept a wager like this, he might as well throw his system away.

In just a month, his strength had already reached the level of a colonel. In five years… heh, Crocodile could pound on him all day and still not make a dent.

Just then, Ba Wang surfaced with little Robin.

"Let's go see how powerful this legendary ship really is."

The four of them made their way toward the gigantic vessel.

"Can it be replicated?"

Walking along the deck, Jiang Qize glanced at the rows of immense, pitch-black cannons and turned to ask Ba Wang.

"Yes," Ba Wang replied confidently after careful observation. "These cannons harness a specific type of energy combined with specialized shells to unleash immense destructive force. Give me one day."

He was even using Observation Haki to inspect them as he spoke, his voice firm and sure.
