Chapter 4 - CHAPTER FOUR

 In Galaxy Nimbus, the ambience was drenched with taint of Sulphur and gigantic boulders. The floating meteor moved at slow speed with structures made of Jaguda – precious stone – impregnable to steel and most metals used as weapons on earth.

The structures in Nimbus was dispersed in an irregular manner with terrace; the steep depicting the ranks of Nimbusian's.

The foremost terraced structure is occupied by Titans – rulers and guardians – of Nimbus, then the elite – counselors, the craftsmen, the yeoman and sawbones and lastly the Juvimbus – commoners.

 The foremost terraced space was made of a line of structures with a twin edifice as the center and behind the long line of structures that housed the Titans was a tall tower that housed a giant piece of Curest that glows throughout the city.

The twin edifice was owned by Thoromus and Banimus – guardian of the Curest and the other structures for the host of Nimbusian army.

 ****

 At a waste land from the outskirt of the city was a single structure standing with deep vegetation of Raschine – thick bamboo of Nimbus descent; almost making it obscure.

Then a crawler sneaked towards the door covered with a black hood and tapped thrice;

"Lord Brus! It's me your servant!"

"Go on – Lucius, commander Brus is listening!" Serus replied.

 "Lord! Majority of the elites are ready for the revolt!" Lucius responded.

"Okay! Lucius, you may leave! The commander has heard you." Serus retorted.

As Lucius scampered through the Raschine forest;

"Commander Brus! Our plan is done. I think it is time for you to return back to Nimbus and fulfill your destiny!" Serus said as he bowed to Brus who was sitting facing the wall with his back to Serus.

"Yes it is! But we should delay my return. Patience; I say patience!" Brus replied.

"Yes commander!" Serus retorted as he arose.

 Six space ships were approaching a galaxy with the right velocity;

"Getting close to terminal!" the caution sound from Captain Drake Stone's ship blared.

At some feet's away the six ships landed and captain and crew descended.

"Sulphur! What a welcome!" Captain Jack Porter said as the others laughed.

"So Captain is there life in Nimbus?" a random crew member asked.

"Soon we would find out! But now; boys! Let's take a stroll!" Captain Drake Stone said.

After some minutes' walk each crew member hid behind a huge boulder and brought out their telescope.

"Wow, Alien civilization indeed!" Captain Jack Porter mimics.

 "And that is our baby girl!" Captain Drake Stone scanned Nimbus.

"What Captain?" Captain Jack asked.

"The Curest. Rather than utilize it enormous power, it just sits there as a torch light. What an insult!" Captain Drake said as all laughed.

"So Captain! What do we do?" a crew member inquired.

"We return back, wait till its night time and then we take what we want!" Captain Drake instructed.

"Aye, Aye, Captain!" All echoed.

 ****

 As Captain Jack Porter hid beside the injured Captain Drake Stone behind a huge Adirondack, they could hear and feel the vibration of approaching feet's, with their men sprawled lifeless in a smoky valley. Jack just held his laser gun close to his chest as it thumps uneasily.

Instantly, the rock gave way and splashes of the remains of Captain Drake smeared his face; he struggled and crawled in pain. There before him was the leader of the Nimbusian Colony – Thoromus and Banimus – with their men all pointing their laser gun at him.

Jack stopped; with a nuke Abraxas in one hand – he smiled as gamma radiation blew everyone up.

 ****

Lucius returned to the parch land;

"Lord Brus! It's me your servant!"

 "Go on Lucius!" Serus replied.

"Banimus and Thoromus are dead!" Lucius said.

"And any other news?" inquired Serus.

"The Elite is calling for a meeting to deliberate on my Lord's return!"

"How about Sardus?" Serus asked.

"Lord Sardus is on our side!" Lucius responded.

"Okay. You can go Lucius!" Serus retorted.

After some minutes,

"Lord Brus, fate is on our side. The coast is clear for you to fulfill your destiny!" Serus said bowing.

"Your reign is inevitable!" Serus continued.

"Enough! Call the last of them – my warlords! Tell them I return." Brus shouted.

"Yes commander!" Serus retorted.

 At a grand palace, with raised circular platform and gigantic entablatures, there sat the Elites of the various tribes in Nimbus.

The Elite head arose and beckoned at a clerk;

"Today, we seat on the possible return of Commander Brus, Serus and their allies. First the offense that led to their banishment into exile.

Both commander and their allies attempted to murder Seer Primus for his proposed prophesy.

Both commander and their allies waged a rebellious war against their fellow guardians of Nimbus.

And lastly, both commander and their allies were not remorseful for their evil crimes!" the clerk stopped, bowed and returned to the side of the Elite head.

"Unrepentant! I don't think they should return. They can cause us all harm. If it's for protection – I understand; but we still have able troops to protect us, we don't need those fugitives!" An Elderly Elite fumed disgustingly.

"To you we don't, but to us, it is a good plan. The joy of having them back as before would fortify our walls. And about un-repentance – years in exile must have changed their hearts." an Elite shot back.

"The good of our people should …" Another Elite continued.

 The session tossed from one end of the room to the other and at the height of the arguments.

"Order! Clerk, start the polls!" the Elite head shouted.

After some minutes,

 The clerk whispered into the ears of the Elite head;

"It is decided, they will return!" the Elite head – Lord Sardus – announced and struck the gavel.

 ****

At the guardians' palace in Nimbus, Brus was sitting on the throne, with Serus standing on his right and before them was Sardus;

 "Commander Brus! Welcome!" Sardus bowed, as Serus waved on him to go on.

"The death of Thoromus and Banimus was orchestrated by dwellers of a Galaxy called Milky Way from a planet called Earth. They were interested in taking away our Curest." Sardus said and paused.

"Remember the fractured Curest stone; you banished away from Nimbus some light years ago at the battle of Gandho? From my vision to the past, it landed on their planet and they have seen and harnessed the power of it and want to complete the stone!" Sardus orated.

"So the missing piece is on that planet – Earth!" Serus asked.

"Yes, commander Serus!" retorted Sardus.

"And our scouts early this morning found their entrance capsule – close to mount Papillae!" Sardus continued.

Instantly Brus stood up,

"So, the circle is almost complete!" Brus said.

" Lord Brus, what do we do?" Serus inquired.

"Pay Earth dwellers a visit, that is overdue!" Brus said as he cackled menacingly.

 At the control room in Star-dust Technological industry, the room was filled with personnel carrying out their tasks with faint sound of industry.

Then, a brisk sound of footsteps hushed the faint sound;

 "Boys, how is our air-borne crew faring?" Dr. Robert inquired vivaciously.

No one responded,

"Oh! Come on – zombies don't do science!" Dr. Robert shouted slamming his hand on the desk.

"Dr. Robert, we lost contact with our men in Nimbus!" a cowering figure responded.

"When did this happen?" Dr. Robert inquired.

"Two days ago, Sir!" the figure continued.

"Two days and no one drew my attention to that?" Dr. Robert fumed.

"Sorry Sir! We taught it was only temporal!"

"Oh, I see! How about their life tag, is it still beeping?" Dr. Robert inquired.

"No, Sir!"

"Then you are fired!" Dr. Robert shouted.

Instantly Anthony Mane whispered into his ears and he exhaled and adjusted his suit.

"Okay; okay! No one is getting fired today! But make sure none of this leaves this office; now get to work! Keep me posted; good job boys!" Dr. Robert said feigning a cheerful demeanor.

Then he and Anthony Mane left the control room.

 ****

 Dr. Aberdeen was in his office working on a projected screen when he heard a knock;

 "Come in!" Dr. Aberdeen shouted.

"Sir – you sent for me!" Dave said walking into the office.

"Sit!" Dr. Aberdeen said pointing to the chair to his right and later joined Dave.

"Yes I did! It's about your test results!" Dr. Aberdeen said.

"Okay Sir! Is there a problem?" Dave inquired.

"You remember your first day here?"

"Yes Sir! I lost consciousness." Dave replied.

"Okay!" Dr. Aberdeen said leaning back and staring into Dave's eyes.

"Sir, have I lost my job?" Dave inquired feeling apprehensive.

"No – not at all! You remember that particles undergoing Dex – polymorphism, tends to experience a molecular bulge and if not contained disintegrates into an entirely different atom – building block!" Dr. Aberdeen paused.

"Does that have anything to do with me?" Dave inquired.

"Simple – that is the reason you lost consciousness. Look at your blood sample's footage!" Dr. Aberdeen said pointing at the projected screen and it instantly flips to a video.

After Dave and he were done watching the video, he continued;

"You see – your blood transforms into any fluid or liquid it touches or brought into close proximity with. It is extraordinary!" Dr. Aberdeen exclaimed.

 "Sir – I don't understand!"

"You are the one!" Dr. Aberdeen said with a hushed tone.

"The who?"

"The Replicator!" Dr. Aberdeen shot back.

After a long stare by both men,

"Sir – I don't know how it came over me, I …" Dave said as he starts sobbing.

"Hush, it's Okay!" Dr. Aberdeen said.

"Does anyone know about it?"

"Nope; I carried out the test myself. And not to worry; your secrets is save with me!" Dr. Aberdeen said as he walked to Dave and patted him on the back as he cried.
