Chapter 6 - 6

A forensic examination was conducted, and the most serious injury was caused by the fall. The examinations indicated a spontaneous abortion due to the fall, even though he suggested she should have stayed home or waited for the baby to be born before returning to her supposed crime-fighting activities. In the end...

Felicity had her secret escapades; while he faced Darkness and returned to catch museum thieves, Felicity stole, all for the thrill of the escapades, simply wanting to destroy the lives of everyone she could get her hands on.

During that time, Tsuki Miki made Gerard leave.

He was advised by his godfather Amasteus to keep the human away from the property and his affairs.

"I need a year and six months without your friends and colleagues," Tsuki Miki said . "Or more than two," he added, turning to Gerard.

The worried butler disagreed; he offered coffee to the butler, and as they drank, the butler fell into his arms.

He paid for Gerard's extended vacation, which would have been a year, so he wouldn't have to stay there and could actually put his plans into action.

On second thought, Tsuki Miki decided it was best to spend two years away from him, putting a drugged Gerard on a private plane; in short, the old man woke up in a luxury hotel.

Seeing that beside the bed was a personal friend of Tsuki Miki who would keep an eye on Gerard and not let him return so soon, so that Tsuki Miki could proceed with his plans, when the poor butler called him furiously about rights and kidnappings, but Tsuki Miki was literally unyielding.

What didn't coincide with his return, doing this sort of thing with a man who had treated him like a son and was a supposed father to him, Tsuki Miki laughed and said, that life isn't always as one wants it to be.

By forcing the old butler to take an all-expenses-paid trip around the world to see every corner of the planet, he would have a guide keep an eye on him, to leave him in peace, and thus not prevent him from doing what he had in mind....

"How could you do this to me? I did everything for you," the butler said on the phone.

"I don't understand, what's going on?" Gerard shouted.

"Gerard, you won't be able to return for at least a year. None of this will help. I need you to stay out of Gotham," said Tsuki Miki .

"I don't need any of that," said his butler.

"By the way," Tsuki Miki said , "the cards would be blocked and monitored, so withdrawals of certain amounts would have to be made directly to me, and you couldn't return before the established time."

"Damn it, boss, this is kidnapping," said Gerard.

Tsuki Miki needed to plan, and those plans didn't include Gerard, nor her prior knowledge of what he intended to do.

"No, it's not kidnapping. I haven't held you captive, nor have I imprisoned you anywhere. I'm sending you to various parts of the world; you can very well enjoy your time," said Tsuki Miki .

In Felicity's case, that year, he wouldn't have to worry about her for quite some time, unless she ran away.

She would be imprisoned in Black Gate for a year if she didn't escape, and if she did, she would be a fugitive. By then, she would have time to plan what to do while he wouldn't have either Gerard or Felicity to interfere.

Keeping Dick away, and any of the boys, was also a plan to keep the members of the Warriors Society of Heroes away.

He would have a few weeks to plan...

4 weeks later...

Between his trips to and from the company and the mansion, he had an agreement with some associates who happened to be demons involved in a gambling ring.

Tsuki Miki got involved with gambling, and it was a gambling house that no hero would enter, but demons would. It was just an invitation, which he accepted. Interestingly, he was inspired.

Initially, he shouldn't have, but he did it; it wasn't against the rules, but also nobody stopped him from doing it.

4 weeks after the demons' bet...

Tsuki Miki was falling towards some ruins when an earthquake struck. He plummeted from the crater, falling towards cracks, with part of his torso being pierced vertically.

He had a pointed rock, which had pierced him vertically; its thin point, with a thick extension, pierced from his shoulder towards one of his lungs.

When he broke his spine in the fall, Tsuki Miki didn't know at that moment whether he would die from the haemorrhaged, or from his punctured lung, or if they would remain alive on a bed.

There were numerous ruined buildings there, as well as sharp rocks near his spine. The fall itself caused him to break his spine; he didn't move. He had seen what was above him, not to mention the sharp rock.

That was Astro-Star who was on top of him; a part of the pointed rock tip had pierced Astro-Star's shoulder, who was on top of him.

At some point during the journey back to the past.

- Tsuki Miki ... – Astro-Star tried.

"I know you're a good person, but I don't think I'll last," said Tsuki Miki .

"They will arrive," said Astro-Star.

Miki tried . " Be quiet," Tsuki Miki said .

"It's so beautiful," said Tsuki Miki .

Astro-Star felt the warm blood splatter and spread across the ground, his body pressed against Tsuki Miki's , feeling the blood; there was rubble all around them.

Miki said . "I had faith in you, that you wouldn't do anything wrong."

"Shut up, Tsuki Miki ," he demanded. "I can hear your heart."

"You're heavy, Kal," said Tsuki Miki .

His vision of the man beneath him blurred; he saw a light. It was a beautiful person. He couldn't tell if it was a man or a woman; what mattered was that they were beautiful, and they extended their hand toward him.

"Come with me," said the voice.

"Yes, I'll go with you," said Tsuki Miki , raising the hand of the arm that hadn't been pierced, blood splattering on the floor, and taking the hands of the handsome red-haired man.

"It's so beautiful," Tsuki Miki said , "it's calling me." He extended his hand, and she caught it.

Tsuki Miki Delphos fell unconscious when he heard a scream, followed by a flash of light.

Three weeks earlier.

There was a particularly loud earthquake that wasn't destructive because of Astro-Star and some Helionians.

Taking place on the busy streets of Golden Valley, its fracturing occurred on some of Luther's properties, which at that time were old buildings, or even properties owned by Luther, and were working directly for him.

They were sending experts, scholars, and scientists to conduct studies, including archaeologists who were there during the course of their research.

They discovered ruins, an ancient city with relatively intact temples beneath the sewers of Golden Valley. The entire city had other structures that they were researching, among them an ancient civilization, mummifications, and ancient artifacts dating back to before the year 1300.

There were tunnels there that collapsed, where they had been conducting research for over a month.

Among them was one organized by Luther, which they were financing purely out of self-interest, and it also contained many relics and monuments, including what appeared to be an image, statues of what was supposedly a huge bat-man.

These were three images that alternated: a reptilian man, like a demon or dragon; in the center was the form of a man, and at the far end was a hybrid form combining the three; there were inscriptions there; it would generate money through excursions and tourism.

It all started a few weeks earlier...

Many archaeologists were hired and he was directly involved in

Being poor wasn't easy, and growing old wasn't easy either...

Because of Joker , he couldn't maintain the Dark-Dragon persona for long. He spent his afternoon with a headache and headed towards the cave, thinking he was going out for a drink, contemplating his retirement.

The man didn't speak, saying that if a miracle happened and he changed his mind, then yes, he needed some time. The headache was really getting worse to the point where he sought medical attention, which he did at the end of that week. He underwent some tests, and the diagnosis came: a terminal brain tumours, stage 4. There was no stage 5... which would be unnecessary and just cheap emotion.

There were some investigations underway that would have prevented this, but if he told anyone, it would have caused a commotion, which he didn't need. He wouldn't last long as a crime fighter unless a miracle happened beyond the Lazarus pit, or he won some money that would prolong his life. But let's be frank.

Tsuki Miki didn't want to prolong his life much longer... unless he could do it in a way that would have fewer consequences, the Lazarus Pits were out of the question.

Now, he realized it wouldn't last anyway, he needed time away, he wouldn't live well anyway, his life had given all it had to give, he had done his best.

Lately, he'd been thinking of sending a letter to everyone there, to avoid complications; he needed some time off, a sabbatical year from the cover, which wouldn't really be a year.

It would have been one more life, but he changed his mind, and simply said, when he held an urgent meeting in the watchtower, gathering all the heroes there around the large meeting table.

"I'm going to take a sabbatical year for myself; I'll be traveling at the end of the month," she said. "And if all goes well, I'll be back," Tsuki Miki added .

"Today will be my last day at the Warriors Society of Heroes," said Tsuki Miki . "At least for a while. "

- What are you going to do, bat? – Green Arrow.

"I'm going on a journey of self-discovery, and to train again," said Dark-Dragon.

"Will you be back later?" It was Hal.

"Not for now, I won't be returning," said Tsuki Miki .

"I'm getting too old to fight," said Tsuki Miki .

"Many people stronger than me are emerging," said Tsuki Miki .

"I don't want to go back right now either; I need to enjoy my free time and my vacation a little," Tsuki said.

"Taking a sabbatical year," said Tsuki Miki .

"I have to keep the remaining bones intact," said Tsuki Miki .

"I want to enjoy my old age that's coming," said Tsuki Miki .

"I don't want to fight anymore, at least not for now," said Tsuki Miki .

"I'll leave it to the new generation," said Tsuki Miki .

"So, a year without you, dragon," Hal said.

"One year," said Tsuki Miki . "I'm going to travel at the end of the month," said Tsuki Miki .

So, they left.

Tsuki headed towards a bar, hidden from human eyes, as well as gossips, paparazzi, and reporters on duty.
