In the snowy forest, a young teenager opens his eyes.
"Gasp"
The first thing he feels is cold, he shivers a little, he looks around himself in disbelief. He was sitting under a Tree.
Everything around him is covered in snowy ground.
"What the hell happened? Why am I in a snowy forest ?" He mutters to himself

It was night time in L.A, but the city was very much alive.
In a 2 Storey house in woodland hills, a young man can be seen sitting in his bedroom scrolling on reddit.
Alex Richardson was from a well of family. His father died in his childhood, though left a good enough inheritance for his mother and him to survive.
He and his mother has been living in this home ever since.
Alex was busy scrolling through the Game of Thrones section of reddit.
He had been a studious fellow till he was in high school hardly paying attention to any movies or webseries, after High school while in college he entered a small friend circle who introduced him to many fantasy movies, and through them eventually he also started to read novels.
One such show he liked was Game of Thrones which his friends told him was a good low fantasy series.
Eventually he binge watched the whole Game of Thrones series but as the show progressed he started to become more and more dissapointed. Eventually after watching the ending his dissapointment was very high, that's why he was reading through the reddit Game of Thrones section and just like he found many also hated the ending.
Through there he came to know that this Show was based on a book series namely 'A song of Ice and fire'
He read the reddit comments comparing the book to the Show and complaining how different some of the characters are in the book and how many parts and characters were cut from the show
This got him some hope, he thought maybe the book version will be better.
He contacted his friends and from where he came to know that his friend Jason has all published books of the series and Jason allowed him to borrow them.
He was happy as he now knew how he gonna spend the coming christmas holidays.
He put his phone down and went to sleep after saying his mom a goodnight.
8:30 AM, L.A
Alex woke up the next day and started following his usual routine, just as he came out of his personal room bathroom, he was startled as he saw a neatly packed package on his desk.
'What is that ?'
'Why does it look like a birthday present ?'
'But today is no special day....'
'Christmas still has a week'
'Oh there is a note alongside it'

After getting dressed, Alex went back to see the gift, he took out his scissor and started unwrapping the gift .
'Damn this is heavy'
'I wonder what is inside'
After unwrapping the gift to his surprise inside were books.
"Woah"
"This are literally the books I wanted, I was gonna borrow from Jason, but i guess now I don't need to borrow his books"
'I should thank mom'
'She probably thought I am taking interest in something other than studies and bought those books'

'Well today is a day off from college so I guess I know what I am gonna do'
'Well let's eat breakfast first'
As Alex go towards the dining hall, he finds the house empty.
'Did mom left early ?'
He finds his breakfast already on dining table, alongside a note.
(Sorry Honey, I need to go to office early today, an important meeting has been arranged and I need to do preparations and arrangements, I have already made your breakfast and have kept some extra dollars if you need in my room, if there is any problem give me a call.

'Oh well I guess today I'm gonna be alone at home'
After finishing his breakfast Alex went back to his room, approaching the table he sat down and started to open the first book, but just as he was about to open his eyes started to blur.
'What is happening ? Why all is blurry'
Just as the blur was clearing a bluish transparent screen appears infront of him.
'The hell is this ? Am I hallucinating or something ?'
