Chapter 44 - Chapter 44

*Chapter 44: The Desperate Fight*

The Rebel Alliance's soldiers fought bravely, but the investors were a formidable foe. They had been planning this moment for years, and they were not going to let the Alliance stop them.

Jax led the charge, his gun blazing as he took down investor after investor. Kael and Lyra fought by his side, their movements fluid and deadly.

But despite their best efforts, the investors were gaining ground. They had the numbers, and they had the firepower.

Jax knew that they had to do something, and fast. He called in a Hail Mary, ordering the Alliance's pilots to launch a bombing run on the investors' positions.

The pilots responded with a roar, their ships swooping in low over the base. The investors' defenses were strong, but the Alliance's pilots were determined.

The bombs fell, shaking the ground and sending investors flying. Jax and his team took advantage of the distraction, charging forward and taking down the investors who were left.

But the investors were not going to go down without a fight. They rallied, their guns blazing as they counterattacked.

Jax and his team fought back, their movements a blur as they took down investor after investor. But the investors were relentless, and they kept coming.

Just when it seemed like all was lost, a figure appeared in the doorway. It was Zara, her eyes flashing with determination.

"I'll take care of this," she said, her voice cold and steady.

Jax's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with possibilities. He knew that Zara was playing a game, but he didn't know what it was.

"What's going on?" he asked, his voice low and urgent.

Zara smiled, a cold, calculating smile. "I've made a deal with the investors," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "I'll give them the information they need to take over the galaxy, and they'll let me live."

Jax's eyes widened, his mind racing with possibilities. He knew that he had to stop Zara, no matter what it took.

He charged forward, his gun blazing as he took down the investors who were surrounding Zara. But Zara was too fast, and she slipped away, disappearing into the chaos.

Jax and his team fought on, their movements a blur as they took down investor after investor. But the investors were too strong, and they were slowly gaining ground.

Just when it seemed like all was lost, a figure appeared in the doorway. It was Arcturus, his eyes flashing with determination.

"I'll take care of this," he said, his voice cold and steady.

Jax's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with possibilities. He knew that Arcturus was powerful, but he didn't know if he was powerful enough to stop the investors.

Arcturus charged forward, his movements a blur as he took down investor after investor. The investors were no match for him, and they fell like flies.

But one investor remained, a tall, imposing figure with a cold, calculating smile.

"You may have won this battle," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "But you'll never win the war."

Jax's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with possibilities. He knew that he had to stop this investor, no matter what it took.

He charged forward, his gun blazing as he took down the investor. The investor fell, and the battle was over.

But Jax knew that the war was far from over.

The fate of the galaxy hung in the balance, and Jax was no longer sure if he was making the right decision.

The darkness closed in around him, like a shroud, and Jax knew that he was in this alone.

But he was ready.
