Chapter 400 - Dört Yüz

♫Blue, blue, so blue, her eyes bead blue♫ ♫I saw her once and fell in love, whose beloved is this coming!♫

Nafız had taken a song to her tongue drawing out the l's and u's; ever since the mechanical device for transportation purposes left the Bloody Moon Fiefdom, she kept singing the same song intermittently.

"What a beautiful song, isn't it Jashua!"

Lareina, taking her mother's legacy, had attained a pair of blue eyes just as the song said, and the words she heard pleased her.

"Yes my love, I am hearing it for the first time too, but it's a lovely song!"

Nafız listened to the conversation laughing under her breath; it was impossible for Jashua not to realize she was making fun of him. The Young Count couldn't make a sound, and Nafız continued to sing raising her voice a bit more each time.

The five people inside the vehicle stood like statues; they weren't moving except for bumping into each other during slight jolts. Although they were dying to know the reason why Lareina came out seeing after entering the tower which was an energy shield, they didn't have the courage to open their mouths.

"Lareina, bead-eyed. How much has your vision improved?"

When Nafız asked the question burning inside them, although they didn't want to show it, their heads automatically turned in the young girl's direction. The magnificent beauty of Lareina, who combed her hair nicely to the side, was revealed; her blue eyes had taken their places on her face as if they were the final pieces of a priceless painting.

"I could see as energy before, but you know, I couldn't see some things. Now, I guess I can see like everyone else, and I possess more than that. For example, I can see from where the irregularity in the energy flows of the five originates; right now their hearts started beating madly, it's not hard for me to track the pumped blood at all."

"Can you see only the main veins or the circulation in the entire body?"

"If I focus, I can see down to the thinnest capillary, but this can only be useful for treatment purposes. If they drink a potion now, I can see the slightest change in their bodies and help them gain maximum benefit!"

Nafız put her hand on her chin and started thinking; it was no wonder Lareina's mother was a famous alchemist. One of the twin sisters was following her; the other had taken an interest in mixtures used for killing rather than healing.

"Did I understand correctly! If I make one of these drink the poisons I have, will you be able to tell what is happening moment by moment?"

"Of course, we can always try!"

The five listening to the conversation with excitement went stiff where they were; being suddenly put on the target board didn't seem to be among their expectations.

"Just kidding, just kidding! While there are so many boors around, don't worry, it won't be your turn!"

Nafız spoke barely holding herself from laughing.

"This fear is enough for you for six months; in the remaining six months, you will wander with diapers on!"

No one understood what the red-haired girl starting to laugh meant, but the tension of the five hadn't subsided.

They sat on pins and needles for a whole day; although it became night and the others slept, not a drop of sleep entered their eyes. They resisted until the intoxicating warmth of the morning sun, but they succumbed to sleep with the help of the vehicle rocking rhythmically like a cradle.

When they woke up, they found the red-haired girl a span away from them; while they jumped in fear and hugged each other, Nafız started laughing madly enough to lose herself.

"You will kill me; what amusing types you are!"

Jashua couldn't make a sound, Lareina didn't look like she would intervene; the fate of the five was left only to Nafız's mercy. Fortunately, the Blood God didn't mess with them more on the other days; at the end of the calm journey, they arrived at the Holy Blood Sect.

"There's no place like home, right?"

When they got off the vehicle, many of those who went to the clans and fiefdoms were there; when Nafız scouted around, she saw there were familiar faces.

"Look at these; since their men perished, they turned into dogs left in the frost!"

Nafız, pointing out her adversaries by practically poking her index finger into everyone's eyes, seemed to be looking for trouble, but what was interesting was that the five clan representatives ignored the challenge. Raising a single eyebrow, Nafız headed to her residence, the Garbage House; she had just taken a few steps when she saw no one was following her.

Lareina and Jashua were walking towards the direction of the Temple; the two lovers were seeking to turn their new situations into an advantage, apparently tonight would be long for them. As for the five she traveled with in the vehicle, they had already vanished; a few tense days were their upper limit.

"Are you left all alone, Master Nafız. I never thought I would miss big-headed Alyon!"

The red-haired young girl waited a bit more before mixing into the darkness of the night; she wanted to observe the final state of her enemies, but they also disappeared in the blink of an eye. Moving to her place with a valley view she made her dwelling for a while, Nafız was observing the horizon along with her hair blowing with the winds. The storm was near, perhaps more than anyone expected.

After the disciples fully returned, Nafız wanted to go to the library, but she encountered something she never expected. When she passed through the door Anticuado opened, she reached a completely different place; the large three-story building was long gone.

The new place was a library with familiar faces she bumped into every day. Everything from its decoration to the feeling it gave was foreign. When she went out, she couldn't get answers to her questions from the library guardian; her access to the place she went before was cut off.

There was nothing appealing to her in this library either; Nafız went into seclusion for a month. She never left the Garbage House, and no one came to her. The Blood God, experiencing this situation for long years, didn't find what happened strange. For her, loneliness had become a customary companion.

"Sir, the day we expected has come!"

Pushing the broken door open, Jashua shouted in a joyful tone, whereas Nafız looked very calm. Slowly getting up from her place with a valley view where she dangled her legs, she moved towards the hulking youth. She knew very well what the news was. It would be determined who would go on behalf of the Holy Blood Sect to the competitions to be held due to the birthday.

"To the Blood Arena?"

"No. This year by the Sheikh's order, the battles will take place where the selection for joining the sect was held!"

Nafız's dull-looking eyes suddenly shone. Sheikh Atractivo was coloring his interesting decisions with equally different choices.

"So be it; it means he will gather whoever is there again!"

"Yes, the Second Elder's seclusion punishment is also over. Supposedly, he will take his place on the Sheikh's right!"

"You don't say; the market is going to be thoroughly mixed up. When will this commotion be?"

"Not long, it starts in three days, and it is said there won't be many participants this year. Shall we go and show ourselves?"

"It's a mistake we are standing; isn't this our purpose for coming here?"

Nafız kicked the broken door, hurling it dozens of meters away. Then using the whips coming out of her wristbands, she brought down the few standing walls too and wiped the place called Garbage House off the face of the earth.

"In the past, when armies went to conquer a place, the bridges used to pass soldiers between the two shores would be destroyed when their job was done. Do you know the reason?"

Jashua couldn't answer Nafız's question; after thinking for a while, he started waiting to learn the answer.

"They would be destroyed so that if something went wrong in the war, the soldiers wouldn't run back. The commander making this move wanted to say this: either we will conquer these lands or we will die for this purpose!"
